The following day, Seraphina arrived exactly on time at the upscale hotel.
Bella was somehow even earlier, already seated at a premier window booth with two thick folders resting on the table before her.
One was a massive project proposal, the other a comprehensive structural agreement.
Seraphina sat down, and the two skipped the pointless pleasantries, diving straight into the heavy business details.
Bella had clearly done her homework, firing off highly technical questions with absolute precision.
Seraphina answered smoothly and flawlessly, occasionally throwing back a sharp inquiry that Bella managed with equal expertise.
When the conversation shifted to the battery upgrade strategy, the two women essentially voiced the exact same innovative concept simultaneously.
They locked eyes and broke into genuine, appreciative laughter.
The partnership was quickly finalized, with the official contract signing slated for two days later.
Bella extended her hand across the table.
"Professor Sinclair, here's to a highly successful partnership."
Seraphina firmly shook her hand.
"To a successful partnership."
Bella pulled her hand back, her eyes curving into a bright smile.
"Professor Sinclair, I genuinely think you and Gideon look amazing together."
Seraphina froze, the tips of her ears flushing a sudden, faint red.
"Don't tease me. We're just friends."
Bella waved her hand playfully, her expression slowly transitioning into something much more sincere.
"By the way, thank you for sending me that video."
Seraphina paused her movements, looking up sharply.
"I sent that anonymously. How did you know it was me?"
Bella blinked, a flash of absolute cunning crossing her features.
"I unraveled the code and traced the IP straight back to you. It was actually quite simple."
Seraphina was genuinely surprised, but she quickly regained her effortless composure.
"You know how to code?"
"I like to mess around with it, but I wouldn't call myself an expert."
Bella rested her chin on her hand, looking at Seraphina with unfiltered admiration.
"That's exactly why I respect you so much. You write incredibly elegant, flawless code, and you dominate in physical research, too."
"Professor Sinclair, I really want us to be actual friends."
Seraphina offered a soft smile, finding absolutely no reason to reject the offer.
"Honestly, it was just a string of code I threw together."
Bella shook her head, suddenly dropping her voice into a deeply reverent whisper.
"The one person in this world I truly idolize is the legendary hacker P. If I could just meet her once in my life, I could die happy."
