Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 504

She had absolutely no way out anymore. She couldn't afford to lose Dominic.

Looking around desperately, she finally stopped a young woman walking past and begged to borrow her phone.

"Excuse me, could I please borrow your phone for a quick call? I need to contact my family, but my battery just died."

The young woman hesitated, but seeing how pale and frantic Cynthia looked, she handed the phone over.

Cynthia quickly punched in the number she knew by heart.

This time, the call went through.

"Hello?"

Dominic's voice drifted through the speaker, low and frigid.

Cynthia's throat tightened. "Dominic, it's me."

The tone on the other end instantly shifted to sheer annoyance.

"Do not call me ever again."

Cynthia panicked. "Dominic, don't hang up! I know I was wrong, but I have nowhere else to go..."

"Seraphina won't let me live in the apartment you gave me, and she took the car back too! How can she bully me like this? Please, you have to get them back for me..."

Dominic's voice was colder than ice. "She was absolutely right to take them back. They belonged to her to begin with."

Cynthia froze.

"Don't ever call me again. And stop using strangers' phones to harass me," Dominic warned harshly. "Or I'll make sure you pay the price for it."

The line went dead.

The dial tone stabbed at her eardrums.

Cynthia stood completely paralyzed, the phone slowly sliding down from her ear until it clattered to the ground.

The young woman hastily picked up her device. "What is wrong with you..."

She stopped mid-sentence, noticing how horrifyingly pale Cynthia looked.

Too afraid to say anything else, the woman simply chalked it up to bad luck and hurried away.

Cynthia slumped against the wall, looking as though her very bones had been ripped out of her body.

Meanwhile, on the top floor of The Lockwood Group.

Dominic sat behind his massive desk. He had tossed his phone onto the table, its screen still glowing.

He pinched the bridge of his nose.

The apartment at Laurel Heights flashed through his mind.

Back then, just to celebrate Cynthia's return to the country, he had bought her a home worth millions of dollars without batting an eye.

When Seraphina had angrily confiscated the keys, he had actually used the Sinclair family to threaten her into giving them back. He really had been a complete monster.

A sharp pang of regret pierced his chest, quickly followed by a dull, throbbing ache radiating from his stomach.

His desk was completely empty.

In the past, whenever his stomach acted up, Seraphina would always walk in with a piping hot bowl of soothing soup for him to eat.
