Seraphina lazily lowered her eyelids and looked away.
She could feel Clara's hand trembling in hers.
Because up next, it was Arthur's turn.
Charles had previously insisted that Arthur was involved in the trading of classified information, even going so far as to present supposed evidence.
Just as everyone was holding their breath in anticipation, Seraphina stood up.
"Your Honor, I have evidence here that proves my father was never involved in any of this."
She submitted the documents she had prepared in advance.
The files contained not only the original records of the old research projects but also the relevant financial trails and the authentication reports on the forged documents. It was more than enough to prove that the so-called evidence of Arthur's involvement was completely fabricated by Charles.
Right at that moment, Helena also stepped forward to provide her own testimony.
"Those documents are fake."
She glanced at Arthur, her eyes red.
"Charles deliberately tried to pin the blame on Arthur to save himself. I lied for him before, but Arthur has never been a part of those illegal activities."
Hearing this, Charles looked as if his eyes were about to pop out of his skull in fury.
"Helena! You bitch! You dare sell me out?!"
But Helena completely ignored him.
After further evidence presentation and cross-examination, the charges against Arthur were completely overturned.
The court found him not guilty and cleared his name on the spot.
Upon hearing the verdict, tears instantly streamed down Clara's face.
"Thank God! Arthur, you're free!"
Arthur's eyes welled up with tears as he gripped his wife's hand tightly.
Watching the scene unfold, Seraphina finally breathed a sigh of relief.
It was all finally over.
Soon, the convicted members of the Ross family were handcuffed and escorted out of the courtroom.
Seraphina walked out with her parents, and just as they reached the door, Dominic rushed after them.
"Seraphina, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair."
He glanced at Arthur, his tone uncharacteristically gentle.
"It's been a long day for you. Let me give you a ride home."
Hearing this, the smile on Clara's face immediately faded.
"No need, Mr. Lockwood. We have our own car."
Zachary chimed in coldly, "Don't bother."
