Seeing her so certain, Cynthia panicked completely and blurted out, "I'm telling you, I don't have the money! I spent it all ages ago! I literally can't pay it back!"

Seraphina raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. "Didn't you just say Felix was completely wrapped around your finger? That he buys you whatever you want?"

"Since Felix is so ridiculously wealthy and won't marry anyone but you, a tiny sum like this shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Cynthia turned beet red, rendered completely speechless.

How could she possibly let Felix know about this?

The Zane family was no ordinary clan. If they found out she used to be someone else's mistress and owed massive debts because of it, God knew how they would view her!

The mere thought made Cynthia frantic with hatred, yet she utterly refused to concede defeat in front of Seraphina.

Dropping the empty threat, she spun on her heel and stormed out in a blind fury.

Seraphina watched her scramble away, a flicker of ice dancing in her eyes, before heading back to the dining area.

By the time Seraphina returned to the table, her expression was still somewhat frosty.

Gideon glanced up at her, immediately sensing the shift in her mood. "What's wrong?" he asked in a low voice.

"Ran into an absolute nuisance."

Seraphina picked up her water glass and took a sip, completely unwilling to bring up Cynthia again.

Gideon's gaze darkened slightly as his eyes naturally trailed toward Cynthia's table, razor-sharp with intent.

He didn't even need to think to know that she was the only one who could annoy Seraphina this much. He really needed to teach her a lesson.

Just then, a waiter approached their table with a serving cart.

"Mr. Cole, your pre-ordered top-tier French caviar is ready. This is the only portion available in the restaurant today."

The waiter respectfully lifted the dome lid and placed the exquisite dish directly in front of Seraphina.
