Unloved Unwanted Unstoppable (Seraphina and Dominic) novel Chapter 82

Dominic nodded, his gaze growing steadily more confident.

As it stood, his biggest rival for this project was Gideon Cole.

But his distant uncle had incredibly high standards, usually only keeping an eye on overseas markets and top-tier ventures. Domestic tech projects rarely caught his attention.

Dominic smiled, a wave of confidence settling in his eyes.

"At next week's networking event, we'll go straight to this rising star lead and lock the partnership down."

Cynthia smiled and nodded in agreement.

"That's exactly what I was thinking."

Outside the window, twilight was falling, casting the entirety of Northport in a molten golden glow.

Dominic went back to signing his documents, tossing the name from the news report completely to the back of his mind.

That same day, Seraphina traveled out to the suburbs for a content review.

At the counter, she handed over her materials, filled out forms, and verified her ID in one seamless process.

The clerk verified the final page, stamped it, and handed back a receipt.

"The approval will be issued within a week. You can head back and wait for the notice, Ms. Sinclair."

Seraphina took the receipt, thanked the staff, and turned to head downstairs.

She walked over to the bus stop, planning to take transit back.

Being in the suburbs, transportation was sparse, and the nearest ride-hailing pickup point was miles away. Taking the bus was her easiest option.

It was getting dark, and the bus stop was deserted. Seraphina clutched her purse tighter and prepared to take a seat on the bench.

Glancing up inadvertently, she spotted Dominic and Cynthia walking out from around the corner arm in arm, not too far away.

Cynthia was wearing a light beige skirt suit today, her long hair pinned up loosely, looking perfectly elegant.

Dominic stood closely beside her, his head tilted as he listened to her speak, his expression remarkably gentle.

Seraphina's gaze lingered on their joined hands for a split second.

Cynthia's expression darkened, and she gritted her teeth.

Even though Seraphina's reasoning was sound, Cynthia absolutely refused to believe she was out here for legitimate business.

She lowered her eyes, her gaze drifting to the ground.

Because the area was so secluded, the pavement was littered with discarded flyers—colorful cards printed with exaggerated fonts and suggestive silhouettes.

Cynthia smirked and looked back up at Seraphina.

"I have heard people mention that there are a few private clubs around here offering certain services... male models and the like. They're supposed to be quite famous."

Her tone carried a deliberate, probing edge.

"Seraphina, a woman coming all this way alone... you couldn't possibly be heading to one of those places, could you?"

Dominic's face visibly darkened. His jawline tightened into a sharp, rigid angle, and the air around him dropped a few degrees.

Seraphina curved her lips into a smile, though the amusement didn't reach her eyes.
