Reina had only dared to trade for the flamethrower because she knew what the Scott siblings were like. She was certain that they wouldn’t dare let her die under the current circumstances.

“Alright, I’ll cover you.” Dylan tightened his grip on the flamethrower, his gaze firm. “Be careful too. Don’t let the mutant rats hurt you.”

Reina nodded and rushed toward the nearest mutant rat with her machete raised.

Her attacks became even more deadly with 9 points of Strength and 12 points of Agility.

With a single strike, the mutant rat’s skull split open, spraying black blood into the air.

It let out a shrill squeal and spun in circles. In the end, it collapsed onto the ground, its limbs twitching. It was clearly not going to survive.

Chloe, who had followed close behind, was stunned. “Reina, you’re so strong! Is this the real power of an ability user?”

Reina’s lips twitched slightly. She did not answer. Instead, she lifted her blade and swung at another mutant rat.

This strike landed on the rat’s neck, cutting so deeply that bone was visible. Even so, the creature did not die. It leaped up and tried to fight back.

Chloe hurried over to finish it off. With a few more strikes, the two of them quickly ended its life.

After two mutant rats were killed in a row, the rat swarm began to retreat. Fear appeared in their crimson eyes.

At the same time, Dylan would occasionally spray a burst of flame from the side, setting two more mutant rats on fire. The swarm backed away by more than 30 feet.

“Don’t rush. Let’s take it slow!” Dylan shouted, worried the two girls might get too aggressive. “Save your stien thirst!”

“Got it!” Chloe replied. She lowered her head and watched Reina use her skill.

At that moment, Reina was using her ability on one of the dead mutant rats.

In an instant, a large piece of fresh mutant rat meat appeared beside Reina’s hand. It weighed nearly 20 pounds.

Reina was surprised.

The last time she had harvested mutant beast meat, she only got four or five pounds. She wondered why she suddenly got so much this time.

Could it be because of the freshness? After all, this one had just been killed, while the previous one had been dead for who knew how long.

Chloe looked at Reina with pure admiration.

Reina handed the fresh meat to Chloe. “Put it away for now. We’ll take it back to camp later.”

Reina, Chloe, and Gerard attacked the mutant rats together. Dylan stood nearby with the flamethrower, providing support. Meanwhile, Sasha crouched behind the wall, guarding the large backpack.

Each of the five had their own role. Before long, they had killed several more mutant rats.
