Chapter 24 Eye of Insight
Chapter 24 Eye of Insight
She still had six points of Energy left, and she had no idea when that potion use cooldown would end…
So Reina did not plan to harvest low-tier mutant beasts.
She looked around and finally spotted that Level 3 mutant kangaroo.
She pressed her hand to its skull and used her ability.
+20 Free Coins
Ding! “Energy-1. Harvest successful. EXP +20. Gained a piece of excellent-quality Level 3 mutant beast meat. Contamination Value: 29. Consumption permanently increases Strength by 1. Effect doesn’t stack.”
Wow. Another fresh chunk of meat with a special trait.
Reina grinned so hard she almost could not close her mouth, and she hurriedly hugged the meat to her chest.
Just then, another prompt sounded in her mind,
“Level 1 Harvesting Ability experience is full. Do you want to upgrade?”
“Upgrade!” Why would I not? I need higher stats to get stronger.
In an instant, Reina seemed to see fireworks bursting across her entire vision. Her Level 1 Harvesting Ability jumped from LV1 to
LV2.
Right away, her panel gained ten free attribute points, and her ability panel also spawned a new ability, “Eye of Insight”.
Reina did not hesitate. She raised her Agility straight to 20.
That would help her survive, and it would also let her get close to dangerous creatures faster to use her ability.
With the remaining seven points, she split them between Physique and Strength.
That brought all her stats up to 20.

Chapter 24 Eye of Insight
(1) Level 2 Harvesting Ability (Talent), EXP 2/5000 (ability range increased to 20 inches)
+20 Free Coins
(2) Level 0 Eye of Insight, EXP 0/1000 (can inspect the basic stats of any target within three feet. Note: Each use of Eye of Insight. consumes one Energy point)
When Reina read the new line added to her ability panel, she was stunned.
A range of 20 inches meant she could harvest without touching the object, right?
That was perfect.
A lot of creatures in this world were extremely poisonous, and she could not touch them at all.
f she could harvest from a distance, she would be set.
As for the Eye of Insight, once her Energy refilled, she would try it and see what it could do for her.
Reina clenched her fist and enjoyed the comfortable feeling that came with her boosted attributes.
The exhaustion from earlier had completely vanished. Now she was full of energy, strong as hell, and every movement felt light, as
f she pushed off the ground a little, she could spring up to the second floor.
And the boost to Agility did not just affect her speed. Her eyesight and body coordination had improved, too.
For example, she could now see the flight paths of the insects filling the air.
f she focused on a single one, the bug in her vision looked like it had a slow-motion buff. She felt like she could pinch it out of the air without trying.
But this was not the time to test things. Reina picked up the mutant kangaroo’s meat that weighed about 88 pounds and rushed back to Building 7.
She was not trying to show off. She only had four points of Energy left, and she did not want to waste them on storing items.
When she returned to the camp gate again, she saw that fewer mutant beasts were making it inside.
People’s attacks had started to loosen up, too.
Reina found an opening and dashed straight behind a Level 3 mutant beast to use her ability.
Ding! “Energy-1. Harvest successful. EXP +50. Gained Physique +1.”
Hearing the announcement, Reina froze for a moment.
What was going on? Why did harvesting a Level 3 mutant beast only give one stat point? It had been two points before.
She did not have time to think. In the next instant, the mutant beast was beaten to death by a swarm of ability users.
With a heavy boom, the camp’s drop gate finally fell.
