Reina glanced at her balance and asked the staff member, “Do you have rice and seasonings here? I want to buy some.”

Eating at the cafeteria was too expensive. Unless she had no other choice, she really did not want to spend money there. Now that she had the beast-hide pouch, she might as well stock up on flour, supplies, and tools so she could cook for herself.

“Rice?” The staff member shook his head. “No. But we do have some whole-wheat flour, 100 points a pound. As for seasonings, we only have salt. Everything is mid-value, so you can use it without worrying.”

“Fine. Give me 10 pounds of flour, two pounds of salt, and two alloy pots, one large and one small, the kind I can stir-fry and cook rice with. I’ll take a kettle too.”

Reina listed items one after another. “And a stove, the kind I can cook and stir-fry on. A spatula and a kitchen knife, one each. I also need one small gas canister…”

The staff member’s mouth twitched. He pulled everything out and set it on the counter.

Is this girl getting married or something? Otherwise why is she buying this many household items?

Reina had no idea what he was thinking. She went ahead and bought a whole pile of things, and even borrowed a big wicker basket from him to carry it all.

Her 20,000-plus points had barely hit her account before 5,000 were gone.

That was only because the staff member had already rounded down and wiped off the change.

Reina hoisted the big wicker basket onto her back. The moment she stepped out of the trading hall, she saw Taylor standing in a dark corner, waiting for her with a resentful look on his face.

“What is it?” Reina asked, confused.

Taylor glanced toward the trading hall and whispered, “Add me as a friend first.”

Reina blinked and sized Taylor up.

His face was dark and ruddy, he was not tall, and he had a bulbous nose. He was not good-looking at all, and she felt like he was not worthy of her.

So she flat-out refused. “Forget it. We’re not a match.”

Taylor looked completely lost and hurried to clarify, “I, I mean add me as a friend first. Later, if you need to exchange anything, just message me and I’ll go grab it when I have lime.”

He paused, then added, “I promise I won’t let you get shorted.”

Reina finally got it. Embarrassed, she rubbed her nose and immediately worked her smartwatch, then held it out to Taylor.

After they added each other, Taylor left, satisfied.

Back in her room on the fourth floor, Reina checked the potion cooldown and found it had finished.

She immediately grabbed a recovery potion and drank it. Her energy still only went up by five points.

It looked like low-grade potions did not do much for her anymore.

Reina sighed, then ate a bowl of the boiled mutant rabbit meat she had cooked earlier, barely bringing her Energy back up to eight

points.

Then she started storing items.

She opened the mouth of the beast-hide pouch and poked a finger inside to feel around, but she could not touch anything.

And yet that piece of meat was clearly inside. She could see it, but she could not feel it.

Reina had no choice but to silently think, “Take out.”

A prompt sounded in her mind again..

“Do you want to spend 1 Energy point to take out a piece of Level 2 mutant beast meat?”

What? Taking things out also cost Energy?

Reina’s face turned sour.

But she had to take it out anyway. Otherwise she could not test storing the wicker basket.

The pouch only had about 35 cubic feet of space. If she did not use it smartly, how much Energy would she waste?

“Take it out, you greedy piece of crap!”

Annoyed, Reina tossed the pouch aside and organized the items in the wicker basket, clearing a little space first, then stuffed in the Level 3 mutant kangaroo meat.

The Level 2 mutant beast meat appeared out of thin air and dropped onto the bed with a soft thud.

Reina grimaced and moved it off to the side, then jammed the mouth of the pouch toward the wicker basket and silently thought, “Store it.”

The wicker basket vanished in an instant, along with everything inside it.

Huh? Why is there no prompt this time?

Reina was confused. She waited a moment, but her Energy did not drop at all.

That was weird. Reina could not figure it out, but it was still a good thing.

She fiddled with the beast-hide pouch and leaned in with one eye to look inside.

She saw the big wicker basket floating inside, like it was far, far away from her.

The feeling was like she was looking at something through a tiny smartwatch screen, like viewing an object on a security camera, feed, and it did not feel strange at all.

Reina thought for a moment, then silently thought take out, aiming the pouch opening at the floor.

The big wicker basket suddenly appeared and landed steadily on the ground. Everything inside was still there, not a single item missing.
