Chapter 29 Let’s Talk It Out

But that injury tag was still there. Reina did not know if their mental power would drop again.

She turned and looked around. Not seeing Gerald or Mabel, she asked, “Where did Gerald and Mabel go?”

+20 Free Coins

Chloe answered, “Gerald took Mabel to his brother-in-law’s place. Mabel can’t move her arm, and he thinks staying here would drag us down.”

“I see.”

Reina nodded and walked out. “Hurry up and eat. I’m going to the trading hall. Later, come find me there.”

She needed to buy a backpack, and she also wanted a few more sealed bags.

‘Okay, go ahead. I’ll be done soon.” Chloe sat down right away, lifted her bowl, and started eating fast.

Reina went downstairs and saw the open courtyard below packed with tents, crammed so tightly together there was barely any space to walk.

When she stepped out of Building 7, the scene in front of her stunned her.

Crawling insects covered the ground in a dense mass, all kinds of strange species, in bright, messy colors. A faint black haze even ose off them, which meant most of them were probably highly poisonous.

Especially those brightly colored mutant caterpillars. They were about 20 inches long, and the hair on their bodies was their most icious weapon. A tiny clump was enough to poison a living person to death.

Where did all this crap even come from? Why are there so many? Are we supposed to just die?”

someone complained while swinging a hammer and smashing down at the venomous bugs on the ground.

someone else said, “This happens every fall. They crawl around looking for places to form cocoons, but there usually aren’t many. ‘his year is completely screwed. They’re everywhere.”

Yeah, and now the mutant plants outside have been eaten clean by bugs. What are we supposed to live on later?

Ugh. Winter’s almost here. Give it one month at most. If we can’t stockpile food, we’re just going to die.”

¿veryone sighed and groaned, and their hatred toward the bugs underfoot only grew stronger.

Reina’s brows knit tight..

That was true. If every blade and leaf out in the wasteland got chewed to nothing, what would the 300,000-plus people in and

round Greenfinch Base use to survive the winter?

Reina rushed toward the exchange hall. The moment she went in, she saw the place was loud and chaotic.

t looked like the mercenaries were arguing, and the atmosphere was on the verge of exploding

‘Fuck you! You’re really telling me the stock is empty? I busted my ass fighting mutant beasts all night, and now you’re telling me every potion is sold out, and there’s not even any Level 3 mutant beast meat left?”
