Chapter 59 Profit, Steel, and Rising Prices.
Victor sighed.
So that was it, this girl was clearly just trying to borrow money from him.
“Alright then. I’ll only offer 30,000 points for the machete.”
“Deal!”
Finished
Reina laughed softly and, after confirming that the 30,000 points had been transferred, immediately broke into a sprint toward the forging workshop.
When she arrived, she saw the two 10-foot-wide machetes leaning against the workshop wall. She froze for
a moment.
Were they always this big and long?
Could her skill even compress them into a normal size?
If not, wouldn’t she be losing out completely?
The shop owner noticed the change in her expression and immediately called over several workers, who stood nearby watching her warily, afraid she might back out of the deal.
Reina frowned but reluctantly paid the remaining 25,000-point balance, then spent another 200 points hiring a pickup truck to transport the two giant blades back home.
Only after everyone left did she rub her hands together and activate her skill.
Ding! “Energy -1. Harvest successful. EXP +10. Gained an excellent-quality, refined steel machete. Contamination Value: 21.”
Reina’s lips curved slightly at the brand-new machete that was a quarter shorter than before. She continued.
Ding! “Energy -1. Harvest successful. EXP +10. Gained an exceptionally, high-quality refined steel machete. Contamination Value: 9. Deals 100% damage to creatures with Physique 80.”
After four consecutive activations, she finally refined it into a 3-foot-long top-grade steel machete.
At this level, its destructive power could guarantee lethal damage against creatures with up to 120 Physique.
This was already top-grade among steel weapons. Even if she continued refining it, there would be no further improvement in strength or sharpness. The final blade weighed just over 30 pounds and felt effortless in her hand.
She refined the second machete as well, achieving the same top-grade result.
After thinking it over for a while, she kept one for herself and set the other aside for Victor.
“Captain, when are you coming to pick up the machete?” She sent the message along with a photo.
Victor replied almost immediately, “Send me your location. I’ll come now.”

“Alright.”
Reina shared her coordinates and added, “Captain, when you come, can you bring about ten 10-foot bamboo poles? Wooden sticks work too. I need them for tomato and bean trellises.”
“Got it.” Victor ended the call.
Less than half an hour later, there was a knock at the door.
Finished

When Reina opened it, she saw Victor standing outside, with Terrence behind him carrying/a bundle of bamboo poles.
“Come in,” she said, stepping aside.
The two entered and set down the bamboo. “Where’s the machete?” Victor asked directly.
Reina took out the top-grade blade with a proud smile. “This is it, Captain. Take a look and decide if it’s worth 50,000 points.”
Victor accepted the blade, his expression shifting instantly. “Which forging workshop made this?”
Victor was a Metal Ability User, and his sensitivity to metal far exceeded that of ordinary people.
He could clearly tell that it was refined steel, yet its toughness had been enhanced dozens of times beyond normal limits. Its sharpness was on an entirely different level. A casual swing of this blade could probably tear through almost anything.
“I can’t tell you that,” Reina replied flatly. She would never reveal that it was produced by her own skill.
And of course, she wasn’t going to expose which workshop she had used either.
Victor didn’t press further. After a few test swings, he asked instead, “Do you have more of these? I want to buy ten.”
“Ten?” Reina’s eyes lit up immediately, then she shook her head. “No, but I can get you three. You’ll need to pay in advance, and they’ll be ready in three days.”
The workshop could probably only produce three to five of these in that time anyway. Any more would definitely compromise quality, and she wasn’t willing to accept inferior goods.
“Fine.” Victor agreed without hesitation and transferred 85,000 points immediately. “I’ll pay the remaining 5,000 after pickup.”
Reina smiled brightly. “No problem. I trust you, Captain.”
Terrence muttered unhappily on the side, “We already paid 85,000. You think we’d skip 5,000?”
Reina, in a good mood from the profit, chose not to argue.
After sending them off, she immediately messaged the forging workshop again. “Boss, I want five more 10- foot machetes. Same materials as before.”
