Watching You Burn In Regret novel Chapter 143

When Lennon stepped out of the bathroom, Seren was already lying in bed.

At the sound of his footsteps, her gaze instinctively shifted his way.

Under the overhead lamp, everything was lit as bright as midday. Lennon wasn't his usual, meticulously dressed self; in fact, he wasn't wearing a shirt at all.

His broad shoulders and tapered waist were on full display, tanned skin stretched over sharply defined abs. Every muscle seemed perfectly sculpted, exuding masculine confidence.

A white bath towel was casually wrapped around his hips, accentuating his long, athletic legs.

His physique was nothing short of flawless—better, even, than the male models she'd seen in magazines.

He ran a towel through his damp hair, movements lazy and unhurried. The scene was almost artful, like a Renaissance painting come to life.

Seren couldn't tear her eyes away, fingers itching for a pencil to sketch him.

Lennon noticed her lingering stare. The corner of his mouth quirked up in a faint smile.

Unruffled, he said, "You're still up. I forgot to bring in fresh clothes, thought about calling you, but didn't want to wake you if you were asleep."

Seren snapped back to her senses, automatically replying, though she couldn't stop staring. "I'm awake."

It hit her a moment later just how obvious she'd been—and that Lennon had caught her, too.

She quickly dropped her gaze, cheeks burning, and yanked the covers up to hide her face.

Even with the blanket over her, she could feel Lennon's gaze still lingering on her, making her squirm.

Still, she couldn't help but admire him. There was something undeniably pleasing about a man with a body like that.

She finally understood why Nadine—who never cared much for exercise—had suddenly signed up for a gym membership just to ogle handsome guys.

Nadine's nearsightedness wasn't even that bad, but she'd started wearing her glasses to the gym so she wouldn't miss a thing.

Seren was usually calm and composed; it was rare for her to feel so flustered and shy.

Lennon's smile deepened, clearly enjoying her reaction.
