Chapter 186 Ill Be Here Every Day

Chapter 186 I’ll Be Here Every Day

When Ryan woke up, he cried for a while because of the pain, and everyone felt terrible for him.

Everyone wished they could take the pain for him.

But with so many people around and playing with him, Ryan forgot about the pain and was distracted.

Chiara asked Lindsay and the kitchen to whip up some extra dishes, so everyone could stay for dinner before heading home.

Adele brought over a bunch of supplements again, not that the Lynch family was lacking or anything.

At around five, Titus got out of his car, gave a quick look at the car parked in the yard, and headed inside.

When the others saw him, nobody said a word, but as soon as Ryan saw Titus walk in, his face lit up with excitement.

“Daddy!” Ryan shouted.

His shout was so loud and clear that everyone just stared at each other, stunned.

Ryan, who’d been playing ball with Charlie, dropped the ball and rushed over, throwing himself right into Titus’s arms.

Titus raised an eyebrow, shot a look at Charlie, who was scowling, and smirked. “Slow down. Don’t run.”

Ryan obediently stopped, staring up at Titus with those identical eyes like his dad’s.

After changing his shoes, Titus walked over, crouched down, and scooped Ryan up with one arm. He glanced at Ryan’s red eyes, then at his forehead.

“Does it still hurt?” Titus asked.

Ryan nodded, pouting. “It hurts, but I’m not crying!”

Titus gently ruffled his hair and walked over. “When did you guys get here?”

Adele shot him a look. “We got here at noon. Why didn’t you tell us?”

They only found out when Ana called Debby, and as soon as they got the news, they hurried over.

Titus sat down on the couch with Ryan in his arms, and Ryan obediently rested his head on his dad’s shoulder, quietly listening to everyone chat.

“It’s not a big deal. Why would I tell you? So that you could get everyone worked up and come running over here?” Titus

said.

Adele shot him a look. “What, my grandson gets hurt, and I’m not supposed to come see him? Of course, I had to check on

him!”

“She’d just feel guilty,” Titus said.

Nobody needed to ask who ‘she’ was.

Adele was momentarily stunned. “Wait, you broke up with that actress?”

“Yes, it’s over,” Titus said.

Seeing how blunt he was, Adele’s face fell. “So why did you have to make it so public? Now everyone knows.”

Debby gave Titus a knowing look. “He’s probably just putting on a show for someone, making a fuss on purpose.”

Adele froze for a second before it hit her, looking a bit taken aback.

“You…” Titus started, but the words just hung in the air.

Titus gave her a look that said, “Drop it.”

Charlie watched Ryan snuggle up to Titus and couldn’t help feeling a little jealous. ‘Isn’t it always said that grandkids stick to their grandparents? Why doesn’t Ryan cling to me, his grandpa?’

Charlie cleared his throat. “Man, you really are such a sly guy.”

Titus shot him a look and replied coolly, “Yeah, guess it runs in the family.”

Charlie glared at him.

Titus was about to pass Ryan to Adele, but Ryan just hugged his neck even tighter.

Titus soothed him in a low voice, “Be good, Ry Successfully unlocked! your mommy. Why don’t you hang out with

Grandma for a bit? I’m not leaving.”

Adele opened her arms and said softly, “Ryan, come to me, okay?”

Ryan glanced at Adele, then at Titus, before finally letting go.

Titus gave him an approving rub on the back of his head.

“Atta boy, Titus praised.

Ryan kept his eyes glued to Titus’s back as he walked away.

Debby caught that, and her eyes narrowed with meaning.

Adele also caught it and turned to Debby.

“Debby, Ryan adores Titus as his dad,” Adele said.

Debby nodded. “Titus, the little rascal, is lucky.”

Adele sighed. “Such a wonderful family… What a shame.”

Charlie glanced at Adele and said softly, “Honey, ever since Ryan came into our lives, I’ve noticed you’ve become more sentimental, more open with your feelings.”

That was something Charlie genuinely appreciated. Even though Adele had forgiven him back then, for decades she’d always seemed emotionally distant from both him and their son.

Sometimes, he couldn’t help but wonder. If she hadn’t gotten pregnant all those years ago, would she have ever forgiven him and agreed to marry him?

Adele just glanced at him, then looked at her grandson and sighed quietly to herself.

She hadn’t always been so reserved. It was that life threw too much at her when she was young, and over time, it gradually changed who she was.

But after Ryan came along, she found herself softening up in ways she never expected.

Maybe it was just age catching up with her, making her long for a house full of children and grandchildren.

Adele glanced at Debby and asked quietly, “Debby, do you think there’s any chance Titus and Chiara could ever get back together?”

Charlie looked over at Debby, too. He was totally rooting for those two to patch things up.

After all, it would give Ryan a complete family, and they’d get to see their precious grandson every single day.

Debby half-closed her eyes and shook her head. “Not now.”

But Adele caught onto that word “now.”

“Now? So what about later?” she pressed.

Debby shook her head again.

Adele looked confused, not really getting what Debby was trying to say.

Chiara was helping out in the kitchen when she heard footsteps. She turned, and when she saw it was Titus, her brows knit in a frown.

“You again? What are you doing here?” she asked.

Titus pressed his lips together, noticing the obvious resistance in her expression.

“Am I really that unwelcome?” he said.

Chiara just stared at him for a moment, then turned back to making Ryan’s food without a word.

Since Ryan had to avoid seafood and fish, Chiara was carefully making him a beef patty, something special just for him.

Titus leaned against the kitchen doorway, arms crossed, quietly watching her busy figure. His eyes darkened as he took in the scene.

Lindsay had mentioned that Chiara used to cook a lot.

But she’d stopped, eventually.

Titus spoke up, “What are you cooking?”

Chiara paused for a moment before answering, “I’m making a beef patty for Ryan.”

“Can I have some?” Titus asked.

As soon as he said that, the whole kitchen went silent. Even the chef and Lindsay turned to stare at him.
