Chapter 248 You Can Leave Now
As soon as Eunice got back to her room, she immediately video-called Chiara
“Eunice?” Chiara answered
“I’m here! I’ve got the latest update…” Eunice said excitedly.
“So, Titus is really tying the knot with that girl tomorrow?” Chiara asked.
“Yeah, Elara’s already four months pregnant. You can totally tell now, so they really need to make it official soon, Eunice replied.
“Are they still going to have a wedding?” Chiara asked.
“They said they’ll hold the wedding after the baby is born,” Eunice replied.
“It’s a good thing after all. Give my congratulations to Titus for me,” Chiara said.
Eunice rolled over and yawned. She hadn’t slept well at all these past couple of days on the mountain.
Eunice never realized Elara was also a pampered girl growing up. She always seemed so fragile, but turns out she’s pretty resilient.
“Titus is totally robbing the cradle. There’s a ten-year age gap between them, so there’s bound to be a generation gap. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it goes for them…” Eunice said.
“Hmm, I’m too sleepy to keep chatting. I’m heading to bed. I’ll swing by and see you tomorrow,” Eunice said, yawning.
“Okay, see you tomorrow. Night!” Chiara replied.
After Chiara hung up, she finally turned off the stove. The medicine was something she could take every day, but not every task needed to be done daily.
So she just asked Ana to bring the freshly prepared medicine over to the neighbors.
Titus stared at the bowl of medicine Ana brought over for a few seconds before finally asking, “Why didn’t she come herself?” Ana smiled. “Chiara said she was heading back to her room to rest after taking her medicine, so she asked me to bring this over to you, young master.”
Titus pursed his lips, feeling something was off. He still said, “Just leave it.”
Ana smiled again. “Chiara told me to make sure you drink it all and then bring the bowl back.”
Titus raised an eyebrow and let out a soft scoff. “What, you think I’m gonna dump it out or something?”
Ana’s smile grew even wider.
“Titus, did you forget that time when you were a kid and tried to sneakily pour your medicine out when you thought no one was looking?” she teased.
Titus was speechless.
Titus looked at Ana, stone-faced, trying to intimidate her into backing off.
But Ana wasn’t fazed at all. She even slid the bowl closer to him, just to mess with him.
“Come on, drink it up. If it gets cold, it’ll just taste even more bitter and nasty,” she said.
Titus’s lips twitched, but under Ana’s watchful eyes, he finally caved and drank the medicine.
Ana finally took the bowl, looking pleased, and left.
Titus watched her go with narrowed eyes, then slowly got up from the couch. He’d taken his medicine and endured the bitterness.
Ana heard the sound and turned to look.
She didn’t say anything, but her eyes said it all: ‘What brings you here?’
“Just came to check on my son,” his mother said.
Ana thought to herself, ‘Don’t you see him every day anyway?’
Ana watched him head straight upstairs with the empty bowl, shaking her head with a chuckle.
Inside, Chiara was bathing Ryan. Titus knocked out

Titus shut the door behind him and headed for the bathroom, gently pushing the door open.

But the moment he saw inside, he was completely stunned by what he saw.
‘Wait, are Chiara and Ryan really taking a bath together?’ Titus thought.
Neither Chiara nor Ryan noticed Titus standing at the doorway, his eyes glued to them.
It wasn’t until Ryan spotted Titus that his eyes lit up.
“Daddy!” Ryan called out.
Chiara figured he was just blurting it out and didn’t think much of it, continuing to wash him.
But then Ryan pointed at the door and said, “Daddy!”
That was when Chiara finally turned around, her expression immediately frosted over.
“Who said you could come in?” she demanded.
Titus rubbed his nose. “I knocked, but nobody answered, so I came in. I figured you were just giving Ryan a bath. Didn’t think you’d both be in there…”
Chiara frowned. “Don’t you know you’re not supposed to peek?”
Titus cleared his throat. “I’ll wait in the room.”
Chiara waited until the bathroom door was closed again before turning back to Ryan.
But Ryan was clearly looking for his dad.
“Daddy, Daddy…” he called out.
Chiara figured it was about time, so she lifted Ryan out of the tub, wrapped him in a bathrobe, and made sure his little feet were all dried off. Then she cracked the bathroom door open a bit.
“Go on, go find your dad and let him help you get dressed. Your PJs are on the bed,” she said.
Ryan nodded and walked out of the bathroom.
Titus was sitting on the couch and looked over when he heard the noise.
Ryan spotted him and ran straight over, throwing himself into Titus’s arms.
“Daddy…” Ryan called out.
Titus smiled, scooped Ryan up, and kissed his soft little cheek. Ryan was wrapped in his bathrobe with a dry hair cap on, so Titus ruffled his hair a bit.
“All done with your bath?” Titus asked.
Ryan nodded and pointed at the bed where he and his mom slept.
Ryan mumbled, “Clothes…”
Titus carried him over to the window and sat down. It was his first time helping Ryan get dressed, but it wasn’t hard. Ryan knew how to cooperate now.
It was his first time, so of course he fumbled a bit.
Once Ryan was in his pajamas, he grinned and called out, “Clumsy!”
Titus raised an eyebrow, smirking. “If I’m the big goof, then you’re the little goof.”
“I am!” Ryan burst out giggling.
Titus ruffled his hair. Ryan’s hair was so short, and it was already dry,
But he couldn’t get the image from the bathroom out of his head.
He found himself glancing at the bathroom door, swallowing hard.
He’d already taken his medicine before coming over, and now it was about time.
“Are you sleepy, Ryan?” Titus asked.
Ryan shook his head. “No!”
“Wanna go play at the neighbors’ for a while?” Titus asked.
“Yeah!” Ryan replied, excited.
“Come on, Daddy will take you over,” Titus said.
“Uh-huh!” Ryan nodded.
Ana heard the commotion upstairs and glanced up. She was sitting on the couch, catching the news while prepping some
