Beatrice Lennox looked left and right, finally asking in confusion, "Isn't this dentistry?"

Sloane Sutton replied, "This is neurosurgery."

"Ah, then I grabbed the wrong ticket. I was supposed to see the dentist, haha!" Beatrice smiled, revealing a row of perfect veneers.

Sloane added, "Dentistry is on the third floor."

"Oh, I didn't know. The robot downstairs checked me in. It must have made a mistake. I always say robots can't replace humans, messing up something so simple."

Sloane stood up, offering a polite smile. "I'm so sorry for the mix-up. You'll have to make the trip back downstairs."

But Beatrice didn't leave. Instead, she sat right across from Sloane. "Since I'm already here, why don't you check me out anyway? A blood pressure reading or something?"

Sloane was momentarily speechless.

Since her patient load was light today, she decided to just check the elderly woman's vitals.

Her blood pressure was perfectly normal, and Sloane checked her pulse for good measure.

Releasing her wrist, Sloane offered an approving nod. "Ma'am, your vitals are better than most people in their forties and fifties."

"Haha, besides my teeth, everything else is in top shape. Would you believe I still go hiking?" Beatrice boasted proudly.

"That's wonderful!" Sloane smiled. "Just make sure to keep up with your oral hygiene. Cut back on sweets, sticky foods, and icy drinks."

"Got it, got it."

Beatrice stood up for a mere two seconds before sitting back down. She slipped a stunning emerald bracelet off her wrist. "You are such a beautiful girl. How about I give you this bracelet as a gift?"

"Ma'am, I absolutely cannot accept that." Sloane quickly pushed the jewelry back toward her.

She suspected the poor woman might be suffering from early-stage dementia.

Why else would anyone try to give away precious jewelry to a stranger upon first meeting?

The bracelet was flawless and clearly worth a fortune.
