Wrong Bride True Luna (Amelia and Logan) novel Chapter 15

CHAPTER 15

Katherine

I still can’t believe how easy it was to get rid of Amelia.

Just one faked slap and everything went down even better than I planned. Truth be told, it was a spur of a moment idea I had read about it in a book and never thought such a thing would work in real life, but here I am, living in the Alpha’s mansion and Amelia is out there, lost and alone.

I’m glad she’s away. She was never good enough for Logan anyway and she doesn’t deserve even a tiny percent of everything he’s been giving her.

Life is odd sometimes. For example, while my mother’s death really saddened me, I’m sure she’s very happy for me in the afterlife. It’s a great price to pay, but her passing provided me with a perfect chance to become Luna smoothly.

After all, that’s what she always wanted to see me as Luna of this pack.

Logan has already left for work, so I head downstairs to have coffee and breakfast. When I enter the kitchen, it’s clean, but there’s no ready meal in sight.

I frown and turn to one of the Omegas standing in the kitchen. “Hey, you, where’s my breakfast?” I ask sharply and cross my arms.

The Omega looks a little taken aback by my question and gently bows her head. “My apologies, Luna, we didn’t think we must cook you breakfast.”

A bitter scoff leaves me and I roll my eyes at her stupidity. “Didn’t think? You’re not here to showcase your ability to think, which you clearly lack since we’re in this predicament. You are here to work and do what you’re told to, that’s all And cooking breakfast is one of your dut Goddess, I can’t bear Omegas sometimes, the likes of you are truly useless and stupid.”

Both Omegas exchange shocked glances, then the other one speaks up quietly. “We apologiz Luna. Just like Penny said, we didn’t think we must cook because you’ve always insisted on cooking your own meals. We weren’t aware that you’ve changed your mind today.”

Damn it, I never considered asking Logan how Amelia acted around here to avoid building suspicions among the staff in the house.

Clearing my throat, I drop one arm to my side and wave my hand dismissively. “Well, I just changed my mind. I don’t feel like doing the work of the servants anymore, so I will no longer cook for myself. After all, I can use my precious time for more valuable tasks, such as assisting the Alpha in managing the pack.”

My voice comes out a little sharper than I want it to be, but I don’t mind that too much. I can always lie and claim I woke up in a bad mood or something. Just like I said, Omegas are too stupid to notice anything anyway, so I doubt they’ll raise any questions with the rest of the pack.

Thankfully, they both remember their place, nod quickly and start cooking.

I sit down at the kitchen counter and one of them brings my coffee. I hate plain black coffee, but it seems that’s what Amelia has had all the time she pretended to be me, so I take a sip.

Just like predicted, it’s disgusting, so I snap at the Omega. “Hey, you, get me some milk and sugar, this thing tastes awful!”

“My apologies, Luna, this is how you’ve always preferred your coffee. Let me fix it,” she rushes back and takes the cup.

“No!” I snap at her so loudly, she drops the cup and spills the coffee. “Make me a new one and clean up that mess you just made.”

“Yes, Luna,” the Omega whispers and I swear, she sounds close to tears.

The corner of my mouth twitches, but I don’t let the smile show. I truly enjoy this game of power – I like watching them jump, squirm and whisper their answers. All that just reminds me that I stand above them.

Thankfully, after the coffee incident, they don’t mess anything up again, so I enjoy my breakfast in peace and once I’m done, I decide to inspect the house.

Walking from room to room, I come to the conclusion that the whole place is too plain and everything around here has Amelia’s paw print all over it. I don’t appreciate seeing her touch everywhere, so I decide some remodeling would be the best situation.

I walk to the living room and call for the Omegas. As soon as they gather, I announce that I want to change a few things around. “I want the house to look more luxurious, like whoever enters will see this is the residence of the Alpha and Luna, not every regular pack member.”

The Omegas don’t look at me as they nod in agreement, so I start walking around them keep giving orders. “I also want all of my old stuff thrown out – clothes, toiletries, ev you can find. Starting today, I’m planning to change my style to something more for looks that will be worthy of Luna.”

Not one of them question me about my ‘sudden’ change of heart. Amelia and I, althoug twins, have always had completely different personalities and for a whole year, the pack thought of her as me.

Not to mention that I know Logan won’t object anyway. He still feels too guilty about that night when he ‘betrayed’ me, so he’ll have to suck up the changes and live with them.

Throughout the day, I follow Omegas around and order them what has to be changed, what

open the needs to be removed and thrown out. Hours in, someone tries to mind-link me, so I link and hear my father’s voice.

“Katherine, we have a problem,” he hisses.

“What problem exactly?” I ask.

“Logan is still looking for Amelia. It looks like he’s not giving up. I tried to talk him out of it, but he acts like he’s possessed.”

His words shock me to my core. After all this time I’m finally back and all he can think about is my no good of a sister? No, this can’t be happening!

“Katheine, listen to me,” my father hisses through mind-link, pulling me out of my thoughts. “Whatever happens next, you must be ready to do anything in your power to stop him. Do you hear me?”
