Chapter 152
Sophia looked at Blake like he was a complete idiot.
Blake was too consumed by his hatred for Lucy and Tristan to notice Sophia’s expression. He pressed on, “Just name your price.”
The moment he mentioned money, Sophia perked right up. She cleared her throat, put on a straight face, and acted mysteriously. “Honestly, I don’t usually get involved in stuff like this.”
Blake nodded solemnly and said, “I understand. Don’t worry, I won’t underestimate you just because you’re young. I’m well aware of the professional ethics in your line of work.”
Sophia kept a blank face and thought, ‘What professional ethics? Does he actually believe this crap I made up?”
“Good,” Sophia said flatly.
Blake took out a check for 3 million dollars and handed it to her. “Help me deal with Lucy and Tristan, and I promise you’ll be well paid,” he said.
Sophia glanced down at the check but didn’t take it.
Blake thought maybe she found the amount too low, so he took out another check for 3 million dollars, but still, Sophia didn’t take it.
Blake gritted his teeth, took the two checks back, and handed over a new one–this time for 16 million dollars. “As long as you take care of this for me, you can have it.”
Sophia took the check and swiftly snatched the other two other checks from his hand. “Deal. Go home and wait for my update.”
Blake stood there, speechless.
With all three checks in hand, Sophia walked off.
Blake opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he stayed silent and just watched as Sophia walked out the door.
He thought, ‘Damn, that’s a hell of a lot of money. However, the moment he pictured those two cheating scumbags getting what they deserved, Blake felt much more relieved.
Sophia rushed to the bank with the three checks to cash them. She always believed that only what was actually in her account was
real.
The moment the money hit Sophia’s bank account, she couldn’t help but break into a satisfied smirk.
On her way back, Sophia started thinking about the Hebert family’s affairs, and when she arrived at Serene Estate, she heard Maelis‘ voice.
“Sophia, where have you been? I thought you had left for school, but I didn’t see you with any luggage,” Maelis asked, staring at her
Sophia glanced up at her. “Don’t you have anything better to do?”
Maelis blinked in confusion. “I don’t.”
“Then go get a job,” Sophia said, not even looking up.
“A job?” Maelis‘ eyes widened in surprise. “I’ve never even thought about working.”
Sophia kept a straight face. “Then go find something that interests you. Stop hovering around me all day.”
Maelis blinked, looking innocent. “I just wanna stay with you.”
Sophia ignored her and headed toward the Chandler residence.

Chapter 152
“Wait, I’ve got something to tell you.” Maelis caught up to her. “Andy wants to see you.”
Sophia paused. “Why?”
Maelis scratched her head in frustration. “Probably because of his girlfriend, Harper Ross.”
Maelis exploded with the urge to vent. “You have no idea how annoying Harper is. She made the first move just because she had a thing for Damien
Parker.
“She took the house, the car, and all those luxury gifts Damien gave her and even agreed to be his girlfriend. However, after she found out that he was ill, she dumped him.
“Fine, she could do whatever she wanted, but she went and sold everything Damien gave her just to shake him off. Then she came back here acting all classy, pretending to be some rich lady and trying to hook up with Andy.
“Isn’t she annoying? I freaking hate her so much!” Maelis exclaimed, stamping her foot in a fit of rage.
Sophia couldn’t relate to Maelis‘ anger and asked again, “Then what does it have to do with me?”
Maelis got even more worked up, her cheeks puffing with anger. “Harper just called Andy and said she’s pregnant. I guess Andy wants to know if the baby is even his.”
Sophia was speechless. She rubbed her forehead and said, “Does he seriously need me to tell him if he’s the baby’s father? Shouldn’t he know better than anyone?”
Sophia was honestly curious about what kind of person they thought she was.
At first, they were just curious about the things she was involved in. Now, they were actually helping her bring in clients.
Maelis said confidently, “You must know the answer, right?”
Sophia smiled faintly. “Well, thank you for your trust in me.”
Sophia did know the answer. She took a deep breath and said, “Relax. It isn’t Andy’s child.”
Hearing that, Maelis jumped up happily “I knew it. I just knew something like this wouldn’t happen to Andy.”
After her excitement died down, Maelis‘ curiosity kicked in. “Then who’s the father?”
Sophia rubbed her forehead, looking tired. Maelis immediately picked up on the cue and took out her phone to transfer her some money.
Sophia didn’t want to say at first, but for the money, she told Maelis the truth.
She said, “She tried to get Andy drunk to have sex with him, but he was too drunk to do that. Pissed and drunk, Harper ended up someone else.”

Maelis was completely shocked in silence and found it hard to believe the truth she had just heard from Sophia.
She stared at Sophia’s calm face, mouth wide open for a moment before finally speaking. “Are you saying that Andy is not up to the task?”
Sophia turned around, feeling speechless.
However, Maelis kept asking awkward questions without holding back. “Sophia, just be honest. Does Andy perform or not?”
Sophia’s face darkened as she quickly clamped a hand over Maelis‘ mouth. “If you keep yelling like that, everyone is gonna know Andy’s problem.”
Maelis blinked at her, silently pleading for her to let go.
Sophia let go of her and said firmly, “Don’t ask any more questions and stop following me. Just go straight home.”
