Vicky had been holding her feelings in for too long, but when she saw Geoffrey with Amara, she lost it. She marched right over and slapped Geoffrey

“Vicky, have you gone mad?” Geoffrey looked at her in shock, thinking, ‘How can she humiliate me like this in front of others?

Amara hurried over to him, her voice concerned as she touched his cheek softly. “Mrs. Shelton, how could you hit him?” she questioned.

Vicky slapped Amara’s face. “Do you think I don’t exist?” Her voice was sharp, filled with rage.

The crowd watching the scene was frozen in shock. Even Sophia was briefly surprised by Vicky’s bravery. But she quickly snapped back, clapping her hands. “Way to go, Mrs. Shelton. That’s how you handle jerks.”

Geoffrey’s expression twisted in anger when he saw Amara get slapped. Just

lifted his hand to retaliate, Sophia’s hand grabbed his wrist.

“I’ve seen freeloaders before, but you? You take shamelessness to a whole new level,” Sophia mocked, tightening her grip.

With Geoffrey stuck, Vicky took her chance. She picked up her handbag and swung it at him with all her might, each hit loud and solid.

“You lying scumbag. You’ve been fooling me for so long. You said Amara was your cousin, and I even gave her a job in our house.” Vicky’s voice shook with anger.

Vicky added, “And you showed me videos of women suffering during childbirth, crying and begging me to adopt two kids instead of having my own baby.”

“For over twenty years, I treated them like my own, only to find out they’re your children with Amara. Do you even have a conscience?” Vicky’s voice broke.

Geoffrey had grown up in an orphanage, with no family at all. Vicky’s father was the one who paid for his school, helped him get a job, and even let him marry his daughter. Out of gratitude, Geoffrey took on their family name.

Vicky cried as she kept hitting him with her bag. “My father and I gave you everything. You were just an orphan with nothing. If it weren’t for my father, you’d be dead. And this is how you repay us?”

All those years of love and trust were shattered like glass. Anger and sadness churned inside her, choking her. She put all her pain into her blows, but in the end, she felt too exhausted to cry anymore.

Vicky finally broke free from years of being manipulated by Geoffrey–it was amazing. Sophia pushed Geoffrey aside and faced Vicky. “Mrs. Shelton, the best way to deal with him is to kick him out and make him go bankrupt.”

She added, “Also, let the whole world know about his relationship with his mistress.”

Vicky’s eyes were red as she looked at Sophia. “Thank you. If it weren’t for you, I might still be completely in the dark.”

Sophia nodded. “You would’ve stayed blind until the end. Their next move is to make sure you’re gone–forever.”

Vicky froze, her mind blank as the weight of Sophia’s, words sank in. Before she could respond, Geoffrey shouted angrily, “You’re just making that up.”

Sophia gave him a disgusted look and continued, “Once you’re dead, he’ll move in with Amara and their two kids, living in your house and spending your money.”

“You’re making this up. I’ll sue you for defamation.” Geoffrey glared at Sophia, his voice trembling with rage.

Then he turned to Vicky, his tone softening as he tried to sound genuine. “Vicky, don’t listen to her lies. I would never even think about doing something like that, I promise.”

Vicky’s tearful eyes focused on Sophia, her voice shaky with despair. “Is this true?” she asked softly, her tone calm but heavy.

Sophia nodded firmly. “Yes, it’s true. Haven’t you noticed anything off?”

Vicky was momentarily lost for words. “No, that’s not how it is.” Geoffrey tried to defend himself, but Vicky stopped him with a swift kick.

Sophia raised an eyebrow and continued, “For years, you’ve been feeling weak without knowing why. It’s because they’ve been putting a slow acting poison in your food. If this keeps going, you won’t have much time left.”

The crowd, expecting some juicy gossip, was thrown into chaos. This wasn’t just drama anymore–it was a serious crime. The weight of it left them horrified.

“You scoundrel. I’ll kill you,” Geoffrey yelled, scrambling to his feet and charging at Sophia.

Charlotte grabbed Geoffrey’s arm, twisting it behind his back and pushing him away. “Calm down. Keep your hands to yourself.”

Geoffrey looked completely defeated, his face pale, as if he had already accepted his fate. But Amara wouldn’t give up. Despite her gentle look, she was tough. “Ms. Chandler, do you have any proof to back up what you’re saying?” she asked sharply.

Sophia shrugged. “Nope, not a bit.”
