Chapter 76
Chapter 76
Sophia got into a taxi and left.
Across the street, a black luxury car was parked. The window slid down, revealing Dorian’s curly hair and bright, curious eyes. He stared across the road with excitement. “Evander, do you think what Sophia said is true?”
Even Evander couldn’t help but twitch at the corner of his eye. “She was just teaching someone a lesson. Don’t copy her. Fighting isn’t the right way.”
Dorian pouted, clearly unconvinced. “But I think she’s so cool and funny.”
Evander frowned, “Just stay away from her.”
Dorian clung to Evander’s arm, his tone turning playful and pleading. “Evander, I want to make friends with her. Sophia said there are some secrets in the Stone family. Aren’t you curious at all?”
Evander didn’t believe Sophia could know anything significant, but he had a gut feeling that it was better not to provoke her.
Evander had heard rumors before and was now seeing her in person. He thought Sophia held grudges and had a strong sense of revenge, so it wasn’t worth messing with her.
Dorian blinked, his eyes shimmering as if he might cry. “Evander, I’m so bored. No one ever plays with me; you can’t always be by my side. Life like this is just too boring.”
In the end, Evander changed his mind. He reached out and ruffled Dorian’s curly hair. “Take care of yourself.”
Dorian grinned, flashing his cute teeth. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of myself. I’ll be good and won’t make Sophia mad. She’s a good person and just protecting herself like that.”
With a sigh of resignation, Evander finally nodded in agreement.
“Evander, hurry up and send me Sophia’s contact info,” Dorian said.
Evander was speechless.
Sophia walked into a jewelry shop, holding a ruby. “Set this ruby into the gold scabbard. How long will it take?” she asked.
The jeweler’s hands trembled as he examined the ruby. “If you’re in a rush, two hours,” he stammered.
“I’ll come back in two hours.” Noticing the greedy glint in the jeweler’s eyes, Sophia snapped the box shut with a sharp click, her to
The jeweler chuckled nervously. “Of course. I promise you’ll be satisfied with it.”
Sophia nodded and left the shop.
Wearing sunglasses and carrying a baseball bat, Sophia strolled into a nearby Starbucks and ordered an iced lemonade.
The moment she stepped out of Starbucks, six girls surrounded her. Glancing at a nearby surveillance camera, Sophia smirked. “What’s up?” she asked.
A girl hesitated, staring at Sophia’s sunglasses. “Are you Sophia?” she asked uncertainly.
“Yes,” Sophia replied.
“Come with us,” the girl demanded.
“Where to go?” Sophia asked, her tone casual.

“Shut up. Just come along,” the girl snapped.
Sophia shrugged and complied, even handing over her baseball bat. The girl seemed even more arrogant, leading the group as they pushed Sophia into a nearby alley.
Inside Starbucks, one of the employees looked concerned. “Should we call the police?”
Another employee waved it off. “Don’t worry. Nothing serious will happen.”
Even passersby who noticed the scene didn’t intervene or call the police. Everyone assumed it was just a harmless argument among kids.
Five minutes later, in the alley, Sophia stood with her baseball bat, casually tapping it against her palm. On the ground, the six girls lay groaning in pain.
Sophia picked up a camera that had fallen to the ground and sneered, “What’s this? Were you planning to take pictures of me?”
No one answered. Sophia pointed the baseball bat at one of the girls, her commanding presence intimidating. “Tell me,” she ordered.
The girl was in so much pain that tears streamed down her face. “No,” she said, her voice trembling with fear.
“Lie to me, and you’ll regret it,” Sophia warned, swinging the bat through the air with a sharp whoosh.
The girl cried out. “We were going to take your pictures and post them online to get back at you for Howard.”
The photos she mentioned were definitely not decent. They wanted to strip Sophia before taking the photos.
Sophia’s lips curled in disappointment. “That’s it? So naive.”
The girl stared at Sophía, confused and unsure of what she meant.
“Is that all you had planned?” Sophia raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with mockery.
The girl glanced at the leader, but before she could lower her head, Sophia pressed the bat against her. Trembling, the girl whispered, “That’s all.”
Sophia tossed the camera to the ground and crushed it under her foot. She raised her chin arrogantly and said with a provocative smile, “Howard is a bastard, and his fans are jerks. Do you think you can take me down?
“Do you want to know how Howard is? It won’t be long before I send him to jail. And if you’re not careful, I’ll make sure you all end up there too,” she added, her voice dripping with menace.
At that moment, Sophia looked like a bully, while the six girls on the ground seemed like helpless victims.
“You wouldn’t dare,” the girl’s eyes reddened with anger as she glared at Sophia. “If you do anything to hurt Howard, we will teach you a lesson.”
Sophia sneered, “You can’t even have a decent plan? How silly you are. What exactly are you going to do to stop me?”
The girl, humiliated and furious, clenched her fists. She couldn’t win in a fight but could call for help. “Sophia, I won’t let you off the hook.”
Sophia nodded. “I’ll see how you guys take me down,” she said before walking away.
