Chapter 80
Sophia slept in again. With two family members at work and three in the hospital, she was
home alone.
Feeling bored, she decided to go to the hospital to have some fun and give those obsessed fans a chance to follow her around.
The moment Sophia left the house, she saw she was being followed. This time, instead of grabbing her baseball bat, she just put on a sun hat and sunglasses, trying to stay low–key.
The dagger in her bag made her feel safe. Instead of going straight to the hospital, she took her time wandering around the city–shopping first.
Using Jonathan’s credit card, she bought jewelry: bracelets, necklaces, and bangles, spending under 150 thousand. But when she tried to use the card again, she found out she had already hit the limit.
She took Jonathan off her block list and called him right away. “Jonathan, your credit card’s maxed out. Raise the limit to 300 thousand dollars–quick. I still want to shop.”
Her bossy, entitled tone made Jonathan furious. “What the hell are you buying that costs so much?”
Sophia pushed up her sunglasses. “Just grabbing some things before visiting Heather at the hospital.”
Jonathan snapped back, “Didn’t I just transfer you 9 million dollars yesterday?”
Sophia sounded even more entitled, saying, “You said you transferred it yesterday. Do you really think yesterday’s money counts today? How about you send me another 9 million right now? Then I promise I won’t ask for more today.
“I am going to visit your wife in the hospital, and you still expect me to pay myself? God, you’re so cheap–Heather’s way more generous than you.
“Fine, keep your money. But if Heather asks, don’t blame me if I slip up and say something.” Sure enough, Jonathan panicked. “I’ll send you another 150 thousand dollars. But you better keep quiet.”
Sophia let out a mocking laugh. “You really think 150 thousand is enough to buy my silence? Add more zeros.”
Jonathan felt she was a bottomless pit, but he had no choice. He told himself, ‘School starts soon. Once classes begin, she won’t have time to cause trouble.‘ That thought made him feel better.
Gritting his teeth, Jonathan sent Sophia 300 thousand dollars. He texted: [Money doesn’t grow on trees. Make it last.]
Sophia ignored his words and went to a cafe to sit for a while. She ordered coffee and cake, knowing someone was following her.
Sophia pretended to be busy with her phone, secretly checking the fan group chat where members posted live updates on her moves. She stayed for almost an hour before finally heading to the hospital.
She went straight to Howard’s room. His limbs were broken, his face swollen and bandaged so much he looked unrecognizable.
“Why are you here?” Howard croaked.
Sophia smiled and said, “Of course, I came to gloat.”
Howard stayed silent. Every move hurt so much–he was so weak he couldn’t even hate her properly.
Sophia sat down, picked up an apple, and casually pulled a dagger from her bag to peel it. The sight of the blade gave Howard a shiver.

She looked up, her dark eyes shining with a dangerous light. “Three strikes and you’re out. So I gave them one last chance. Want to guess what they’ll do
next?”
Howard listened, his hand under the blanket clenching into a fist, scared she might notice how excited he was.
‘Let the payback begin,‘ Howard thought. Even though his face was wrapped up, a wild look of obsession burned in his eyes.
Without warning, Sophia punched him right in the face. He made a muffled sound of pain, then saw her flash a wicked grin, showing her teeth with evil joy. “I knew you’d like this. So do I.”
Seeing her evil grin, Howard felt a chill run down his spine. She didn’t just punch him. She squeezed his broken leg. Howard yelled out in pain, making Sophia’s grin even wider with sadistic happiness.
“Does it hurt? Good.” Sophia sneered. “Remember this pain. You’ll feel it a lot more. Might as well get used to it.”
Howard broke out in a cold sweat from the pain and spat out, “Sophia, you’re a monster.”
Sophia’s smile disappeared. “You’re the real monster. Your whole damn family is.” she snapped.
Then she slammed her hand on his wound again and snorted in contempt. “Loser,” she sneered. Howard jerked hard in pain, nearly jumping off the bed.
Sophia suddenly leaned close. “With Yvette around, your bad luck is just starting. Want to guess what’s coming next? Can’t wait, right?”
Sophia walked out of Howard’s room, grinning. All Howard felt was pain, and all he thought about Yvette. Every time he closed his eyes, her evil face appeared in his mind, making him shiver.
Sophia gave Heather the fruit she took from Howard’s room. “Heather, I came to see you,” she said happily, her voice full of obvious joy.
Heather, still on the phone, quickly hung up. “Why are you here again?” she asked, clearly annoyed.
