Nolan nodded and said, "I know everything you've mentioned."
Audrey immediately grew anxious when she heard that.
"Since you know about all this, why do you still let her have her ways? You're playing with fire.
"Is it because of your parents? Nolan, if it's difficult for you to explain, I can help you to do that. Your parents have the right to know what kind of person Megan is. By then, they surely won't force you to be with Megan."
Upon hearing that, Nolan shook his head and replied, "My parents have been living in fear and worry because of me. They never lived a day in peace. I don't want them to be unhappy.
"Audrey, I'm no fool. I know what I should do, so you don't have to worry. Megan can't hurt me. No one can hurt me. Do you get what I mean now?"
Audrey nodded. She definitely knew what Nolan meant, but she was still worried.
Nolan sighed and continued, "Okay. There's no need for us to talk about all this. Thank you for your concern, but I'll take care of myself.
"You should do the same. Find a nice man, be in love, get married, and have children. Stop thinking about me. 'Us' just isn't possible."
After saying that, Nolan wanted to turn around and leave. Then, he shook his head slightly and added, "Audrey, your family is exempted from donating two-thirds of your assets. Take this as a gift from me to you."
The exemption of donation wasn't what Audrey wanted, but rather George.
Looking at Nolan's resolute back, Audrey couldn't help but cover her face and burst into tears.
