The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 420

"Mr. Greene, do you mean you took action personally? You went to Mr. Lynch's territory and forced him to sever his own arm and leave the Eastern State?

"T-This is unbelievable. No, I'm not doubting you. I just think you're incredible—absolutely incredible."

The word "incredible" couldn't even begin to describe Nolan.

Archie and Gregory could hardly imagine what the scene must have been like—it must have been fraught with danger.

That was Gregory they were talking about! He was a renowned figure in the underworld of the Eastern State. He was ruthless and cunning, and he had been established for years. No one dared to underestimate him, as he had been holding the title for so long.

Both Archie and Lincoln were practically on their knees, in awe of Nolan. Their admiration for him was beyond words.

They had bet on the right horse. No, they had hit the jackpot!

Lincoln felt increasingly grateful that Nolan had knocked some sense into him back then. Otherwise, his current fate might have been grim.

Nolan waved his hand dismissively. "Save the flattery; this was a trivial matter that's hardly worth mentioning. Fang will clean up the underworld of the Eastern State next. The strategy is simple—recruit some, suppress others, and eliminate the rest.

"Mr. Riley, I don't need to teach you what to do next, do I?"

Lincoln nodded vigorously. "Rest assured, Mr. Greene. I'll be the first to stand up and support Fang. No, I'll draft a statement right now and notify everyone in the underworld of the Eastern State!

"I'll also contact the influential figures I'm friends with and get them to issue similar statements and make the right choice. If they dare disobey or cause trouble for Fang, then they're no friends of mine!" he stated pragmatically.
