"That brat.! How dare he come back? Is he here to make a fool of me?" Wayne muttered angrily. He was certain Nolan had returned just to humiliate him.
Melody tried to quickly calm him down by saying, "Wayne, this is a family reunion. Would you be happy if the kids didn't come back?"
Wayne scoffed. "I'll consider forgiving that brat if he's willing to apologize to Megan and Tyler. Let's go. We'll head to Niall's house first, then make our way to the square."
Soon, Wayne and the others arrived at Niall's doorstep. But before they could even step inside, they heard the sound of Sharon's furious shouting.
Wayne's expression immediately darkened. Was there no peace in this family?
Upon entering, he couldn't hold back his frustration any longer. In a stern voice, he asked, "What's all this noise about? Don't you know what day it is? Must you make a spectacle of our family for everyone to laugh at before you're satisfied?"
As soon as Niall saw Wayne and the others, he hurried out to greet them. Sharon, on the other hand, quickly wiped the arrogant look from her face and replaced it with one of feigned grievance. She then walked up to Wayne and Melody with fake tears in her eyes.
"Wayne, Melody, you came just at the right time. It's not that we wanted to cause trouble, but Nolan has gone too far! And Niall, the useless fool, just stood there and watched as Nolan bullied me! Don't you think I have every right to feel wronged?"
As soon as Wayne heard Nolan's name, his anger flared. He could no longer contain himself. "That bastard! What exactly is Nola trying to accomplish? Tell me, Sharon—how did he bully you?"
