"I remember your summons. Please give me your orders—what do you need me to do?"
Pierce had indeed been summoned back by Nolan. Otherwise, he wouldn't have shown up on his own.
Looking at Pierce, Nolan sighed and said, "I know you're a fighting fanatic, always seeking challenges. So, I apologize for interrupting your pursuits."
Pierce immediately shook his head. "No, it's no interruption at all. Before coming here, I had already done what needed to be done. Training in seclusion doesn't help me improve much.
"It's only by immersing myself in the world and tempering my mind can I make further progress. So, Mr. Greene, please give me your orders."
Nolan nodded. "Alright, I'll be straightforward with you. What I want is simple. I need you to step into the secular world and help me conquer the underground forces of the five southeastern states. I, Nolan Greene, will become the King of the Southeast!"
The decision to become the King of the Southeast was a recent one, but once Nolan made up his mind, he had no intention of changing it.
It was easier said than done to become the King of the Southeast. The Eastern State alone was already a complex challenge, and it was the region where Nolan's influence was strongest among the five southeastern states. The other areas would require a more gradual approach.
If it had been before, it might have been manageable, but now, Nolan didn't want to wait. And that was why Pierce's return was so significant.
Pierce listened intently, then said solemnly, "In the five southeastern states, there's only one Dragon Ranking powerhouse, and that's Mr. Benton Senior. Mr. Greene, I can't guarantee I'll win against him in a fight right now, but I can assure you that he won't be able to kill me so easily either.
