Aiden Finnegan's Medical Odyssey novel Chapter 32

Aiden ignored the doctor in the emergency room and said to Gina, "Bring me to the furnace!"

She nodded and gestured at the bodyguard, who led Aiden to a medical center. There, Jack had been waiting for Aiden with the needed medicinal herbs.

Aiden took the herbs and headed straight to the chamber where the furnace was located. The staff in the center looked on with shock. Did the Harpers' bodyguard purchase the center just for a young man to perform alchemy?

Jack stood guard at the entrance to the chamber. During his service at the Harpers' household, he had seen multiple surprising events, and he was not fazed by Aiden performing alchemy. If Aiden could save Arnold from the brink of death, Aiden knowing alchemy would not surprise Jack at all.

While Aiden was busy performing alchemy, Angelina was at her office, her mind in a mess. In the past, she would never give Aiden a call at work, and she would not even think about him. However, her mind had been replaying the memory from last night when Aiden shielded her from harm. She also recalled how he kicked James after James beat her up.

That would have been impossible in the past, for Aiden was once a coward who would shy away from people. Angelina had dreamed of him as a fairytale prince who protected her, but those were merely daydreams.

Lately, Aiden went through a lot of changes. She would get angry whenever she thought of his request for divorce. How dare a loser like Aiden bring up divorce in front of me?

Wait! Could he have asked for a divorce because of Gina Harper?

Last night, everyone could tell that Gina and Aiden shared an unusual relationship. Although Aiden denied it, Angelina, with a woman's sixth sense, could tell from Gina's gaze that she had special feelings for Aiden.

Was he with Gina the night he didn't come home? Angelina Gray, what are you thinking? How could anyone possibly fall for him? He's nothing more than a matrilocal son-in-law of our Gray Family! No one apart from our family will treat him well.

Anyway, she believed that she had forgiven him last night, even though that jerk failed to take her hint. She blushed at the thought of it.

Suddenly, she was jolted by her thoughts. Angelina Gray, what are you thinking? Aiden is a loser! How could you fall for him?

"Angelina, how's the contract with Avirax Medicare going?" Kevin entered her office and asked in disdain. She frowned at his entrance and said unhappily, "Kevin, don't you know to knock before entering?"

"This is my family's company. Why do I need to knock?" He smiled conceitedly. She was fuming at his remark but could not find a comeback. Ever since her grandpa's death, her uncle Mason Gray had been running Gray Enterprise. Therefore, it wasn't wrong for Kevin to make those claims.

"Did you hear me? How's the contract with Avirax Medicare going?" Kevin repeated himself impatiently.

She calmly replied, "I believe this is none of your business. The contract with Avirax Medicare does not fall under the purview of any department in the company. So, I do not need to report to you. Even if I need to report, I'd be going to your father!"

"Angelina Gray, you—" He choked and paused after hearing her bold reply. "Hmph, I was just asking! Do you really think you could seal that deal? Dream on… Well, unless…"

"Unless?" Her brows were tightly knitted.

"I heard that Mr. Kelly from Avirax Medicare has been eyeing you for a while. If you are willing to let go and please him, he might just sign the deal!" Kevin flashed a wicked and nauseating smile at her. She immediately understood the meaning behind his words and rebuked him with a flushed face. "Get out! Get lost now!"

"Hahaha!" He laughed loudly as he left her office.

She struggled to calm down after Kevin left. The thought of every humiliation she went through today caused her to grumble about the arranged marriage by her grandpa. She took out her phone and called Ray Crispin. "Ray, are you busy today?"

Aiden stared at the pill that had formed in the furnace and smiled. It's ready!
