Aiden smiled faintly. "You know the Healing Pills?"
"But how? They didn't pass down its refining recipe. Mr. Finnegan, how?" Arnold gaped at Aiden.
That sacred Pill recipe was long lost decades ago. If the book from Aiden's ancestors did not include its formula, Aiden would've not been able to refine the pills either.
"Why don't you take it first?" he urged indifferently.
Arnold gulped down the pill without hesitation. The healing took effect immediately as he slowly closed his eyes to feel the change in him.
Now that Arnold's condition was stabilized, Aiden turned around to face Jack. "He's fine now. He just needs a few days of rest to get back to his feet."
He then left the room without waiting for Jack's response. The group of doctors accosted him the moment they saw him. "What did you feed the patient?"
Ignoring them, he headed straight to the entrance. After that, Gina returned only to be disappointed by his early departure. That idiot! Why didn't he wait for me?
"Miss, I've bought the medical center as you told me," Jack informed her.
"That quick?" she exclaimed in exhilaration.
He smiled. "Wasn't Mr. Finnegan looking for a medicine furnace? The owner of the medical center needs quick money, so I bought the center from him. But it's kinda pricey, so I only paid the deposit for now."
"How much for?"
"About four hundred thousand."
"It's not expensive. Four hundred thousand is considered low for that area." She nodded. "I'll inform the finance department when we return. Your allowance will be raised to hundred fifty thousand."
Gina's bodyguards were entitled to allowances up to seventy thousand dollars. It did not matter even if they spent the money on personal use.
"Do you like Mr. Finnegan? Are you planning to give him the medical center?" Jack teased.
"Zip it." She gave him an eye roll, but her cheeks were slightly red. Her mind drifted off, envisaging Aiden's happy face at the medical center as a present.
Aiden, who returned home, greeted Harvey and strode to the stairs. As he did not greet Linda, her expression went grim and she was on the verge of losing her temper. However, she swallowed the words at the thought of his relationship with the Thatcher Family and the Harper Family.
Once Aiden entered his room, Harvey spoke to Linda. "Have a chip on your shoulder?"
"That good-for-nothing is all puffed up. He ignored me!" she huffed.
"That's because you're being too finicky to him," he reasoned.
"It's for his own good. Look around you. Everyone at her age has a rich husband. He got married to someone as wonderful as Angel and creamed off us, yet he brings up a divorce?!" She pouted.
Harvey frowned. "That is because you don't treat him well. You didn't talk Angel out of it, and you even find another man for her. How can he possibly tolerate that?"
"Nonsense. He's basically taking advantage of us for the past three years." Linda was exasperated.
"Didn't Addie give you twenty thousand?" He was feeling helpless.
