Aiden Finnegan's Medical Odyssey novel Chapter 34

Angelina's sudden anger flustered Aiden. "Are you having trouble?"

His tranquil demeanor vexed her. "Well, if there is, can you help me solve it? How can you help me when all you do is dilly-dally?"

He replied indifferently, "How can I help you when you're not saying anything?"

She assumed that he was merely rolling with the punches, however, he actually did not care as much as he did in the past. The once spineless loser now perceived everything with equanimity and confidence.

"You? Help? Sure. So, it's about the collaboration between our company and Avirax Medicare. Can you make it happen?" Angelina stared at him coldly.

The Thatcher Family or Gina might be able to help us. Aiden fell into silence, wondering whom he could ask for help from.

Yet, Angelina took it as proof of his ineptitude in such a situation.

"Why so quiet?" she asked in disdain, and disappointment filled her eyes. "Do you think that you know what goes on in a rich family that well? If you figure that those rich people will help you just because of what you've done, wake up! It is all thanks to your luck and nothing more."

He took a deep breath in the face of her contemptuous eyes. "You still look at me with those eyes…"

Next, he ignored her and sat on his bed. "I need some rest. Please close the door when you leave."

Angelina's attitude awakened a moment of epiphany in him. No matter how diligent he was, he was nothing but a man who did not attend to his proper duties to her; it was because the impression of him being useless was etched in her mind. It was not something that could be changed in a short period.

Harvey's calmness caught her off-guard, and her visage darkened. "What's with that attitude? Are you not talking to me anymore? Is it because you have Gina now?"

"You're ridiculous!" He frowned at how she brought Gina up at that moment when he had already explained that nothing was going on between them.

"Yes, I am ridiculous, and I know the best why I agreed to this marriage!" Angelina roared. "Didn't you want a divorce? Tomorrow morning, let's go to the state government. You're not the one who brought this up this time, but me!"

She let off every pent-up grievance in her, and tears pooled in her ears. Her watery eyes dove him to his wit's ends, for it was the first time she shed tears in front of him.

Hurriedly, he stood up and asked, "What's wrong? Did someone from the Gray Family bully you?"

He intended to wipe off her tears, but she slapped his hand away before returning to her room. She threw herself in bed and wailed in her blanket.

Aiden stood before the door to her room, holding in the urge to knock on the door. In the end, he turned away with a menacing glint in his eyes. "That Gray Family."

Harvey and Linda hurried upstairs after hearing the fight. They happened to see Aiden's solemn visage and that vague murderous intent in his eyes, as well as his balled fists.

They were surprised by his dark side. It was their first time seeing him so livid in three years.

Aiden headed downstairs and approached Harvey. "Dad, do you know what kind of problem Angel is facing recently?"

"It's more or less about Avirax Medicare." Harvey gave it a thought. "You know that we've been pushed around ever since your grandfather passed. Eric said that the person who manages to sign a deal with Avirax Medicare will be the president of the new department. Angelina must be under a lot of pressure. She's hoping to take this chance for a turnaround. Please understand her."

How could Aiden be able to get help from the Thatcher Family?
