Aiden Finnegan's Medical Odyssey novel Chapter 44

At this moment, a middle-aged man came in through the entrance. Looking at Reece and Aiden, he asked, "Which of you is the doctor here?"

Before Aiden could speak, Reece hurriedly replied, "This is Dr. Finnegan!" It's a rule of the medical center that the first patient has to be received by the owner himself!

"Is that so? He looks so young," the middle-aged man asked while looking at Aiden.

Aiden replied with a laugh, "Age doesn't equal medical expertise."

The middle-aged man shook his head. Obviously, he was quite skeptical about the young man. Every famed doctor of traditional medicine in Wardom is old and gray-haired, so how could such a young man be a doctor? The one behind him does seem like one, though, he thought, keeping his thoughts to himself.

"Helena, go get us something to drink!" Aiden said with a faint smile.

Helena was about to talk back as soon as she heard this, but after getting a black look from Reece, she had no choice but to go into the inner room to get drinks for them.

Aiden then said, "It's normal to suffer from this condition in midlife. You have my word that your wife will get pregnant within a month."

The middle-aged man already had one foot out of the medical center at first. The instant he heard this, however, he immediately withdrew his foot and asked with a flush of excitement on his face, "How did you know that? Is it true what you're saying?!"

Instead of answering his questions, Aiden gestured him to the chair. "Have a seat!"

Reece also stared at the young man with his eyes full of surprise. Aiden actually pointed out the middle-aged man's illness without taking his pulse! Moreover, it was apparent that his diagnosis was absolutely correct, or the middle-aged man wouldn't have looked so excited!

After the middle-aged man had seated himself, Aiden motioned to him to stretch out his right arm and rest his right wrist on the pulse pillow. Then, he naturally placed three fingers on his pulse. A moment later, he retracted his hand, but just when he was about to speak, Helena came out to serve drinks, which she put down before standing by the examination table.

Darting a glance at her, Aiden said, "Helena, go scour the decocting pot yesterday!"

"The decocting pot yesterday?" Helena was dumbfounded by his words. Right after that, however, Reece shoved her into the inner room.

The middle-aged man gave Aiden a grateful look, saying, "Thank you for your understanding, Dr. Finnegan!" It was really embarrassing for him as a man to discuss one of the guys' unmentionable diseases in the presence of a young lady.

"It's nothing. We're both men, after all," Aiden replied with a smile. "Do you feel like you can't get it to work as it should?"

"It's not just that, Dr. Finnegan. I can't get erect anymore," the middle-aged man said with embarrassment.

Aiden explained with a poker face, "You're suffering from this now because you were sexually overindulgent when you were younger. Not only that, you used some drugs indiscriminately during that period, which caused damage to your kidneys."

Hearing that his kidneys were damaged, the middle-aged man immediately asked, "In that case, Dr. Finnegan, is my condition still curable?"

Aiden replied confidently, "There are a few illnesses that I can't cure." With that, he took out his needle pouch and signaled the middle-aged man to bare the back of his waist. Then, he drew five golden needles out of the pouch, inserting them individually into different acupoints in the back of the man's waist!

"That's the Life Energy Inducing Technique!" exclaimed Reece as he looked on.

Aiden shot a backward glance at him, upon which he instantly shut up and looked at the former embarrassedly.

Aiden said emotionlessly, "The Life Energy Inducing Technique can only be used on patients with damaged kidneys. One of the acupoints involved in the technique is only half an inch away from another acupoint, so one has to make sure not to insert the needle into the wrong acupoint. Otherwise, not only would you mess it up, but the patient's health would also be damaged irreversibly. That's why this technique has to be used with great care."

When Reece heard this, he instantly gave Aiden a grateful smile. What's going on? He's passing on his medical skills to me! He could recognize that Aiden was using the Life Energy Inducing Technique, but there was no way he could have used the technique himself.

A moment later, Aiden removed the five golden needles from the back of the middle-aged man's waist. While tossing the needles into the alcohol disinfection tray, he picked up the trash can on the floor and held it out to the middle-aged man.

Before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to throw up. "Blargh!" Taking the trash can at once, he turned around and hurried out of the medical center. Five minutes later, he came back inside with the trash can in his hands, not knowing whether to bring it in with him or throw it away.
