"Come in!"
Lily pushed open the door.
Alden sat at his desk, his chair turned away from her.
She couldn't see his face.
Lily quickly swept her gaze across the room and then lowered her head.
"Leave it there. Unless I give the order, no one is allowed to enter. I don't want to be disturbed."
Alden waved her off without turning around.
"Understood."
Lily didn't waste any time. She turned around and returned to her workstation.
As she stepped into the hallway, she made a small hand gesture to an Obsidian Group employee.
None of them realized that the security cameras had adjusted their angles.
Every silent exchange was being recorded.
Outside of Robert's cell, an Obsidian Group employee entered, carrying food.
"Everyone, good work. Time for dinner!"
"Damm, that smells good! What's on the menu?"
"Finally, I'm starving!"
The guards responsible for keeping watch over Robert stood up and prepared to take their meals with a smile.
But as their hands reached out, two knives pierced their throats.
"Sorry, boys. You can eat in hell."
The two assassins quickly caught their victims, ensuring no noise escaped the room.
They quickly searched the bodies, retrieving the keys to Robert's cell.
The door creaked open.
Robert sat inside, his face grim.
"Time to eat."
One of the assassins smirked, stepping toward him.
But Robert didn't react.
His eyes were vacant, staring straight ahead.
"Consider this a reward from the Aurora Foundation!"
The assassin rose and rushed to stab him.
