Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 152

However, as Charlene looked at the contact information on the table and thought about the reports related to Rowan, she decided to make the call.

"Ms. Geller, I'll be waiting for you at the warehouse on Verdant Avenue," Rowan said and immediately hung up.

Charlene hesitated for a moment, then sent a text to Daniel before heading toward the warehouse on Verdant Avenue.

A deep frown immediately appeared on Daniel's forehead the moment he received Charlene's text. He knew something was wrong, and without delay, he changed direction and sped toward Verdant Avenue.

For safety, Charlene had specifically brought Scarlet along. However, as soon as they got out of the car, they sensed something was off. Just as they were about to turn back, their escape route was blocked off.

Rowan slowly walked out, his hand wrapped in bandages, his gaze cold and sharp as he stared at Charlene.

But when his eyes landed on Charlene's face, his icy expression immediately softened. "Ms. Geller, you truly live up to your reputation. No wonder you're known as one of Qranross's twin beauties—you're absolutely stunning!"

At that moment, Daniel called, and Charlene had just taken out her phone when a burly man snatched it from her and handed it to Rowan.

Rowan glanced at the screen and chuckled. "Hello, Daniel."

"Rowan!" The moment Daniel heard Rowan's voice, he immediately knew who it was.

It seemed like the warning he had given him last time wasn't enough since Rowan still had the audacity to show his face!

"I've never subscribed to the belief that revenge is a dish best served cold," Rowan said with a scoff. "You cut off one of my fingers, so this is a revenge I must take, no matter what."

"Fine! I'll be there soon," Daniel said before hanging up, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

It seemed like Daniel had been too merciful the first time. But instead of appreciating the second chance Rowan had been given, he had only grown more arrogant.
