Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 193

Daniel frowned slightly and glanced at Charlene. "You head home first. I'll be back soon."

"Be careful!" Charlene looked at him with concern.

Daniel smiled and waved. "Don't worry. Stay home and wait for me."

Warmth spread through Charlene's heart as she drove away.

Daniel then turned his gaze toward a nearby pavilion. "Shall we talk there?"

"Sure." Ernest nodded. Hector remained silent and followed behind Daniel. It was a rather strange scene.

Daniel settled down on a stone and simply looked at the two. Ernest and Hector remained silent as if they were engaged in some stay-quiet contest.

In the end, Ernest couldn't hold it in any longer. He cast a sharp glance at Hector and said, "Is this your decision, Uncle Hector? Or are you following someone else's orders? If it's yours, I can pretend nothing happened, and you're still my uncle."

Hector finally looked up at Ernest. "Some things are not for you to meddle in, Ernest."

"That's no excuse for betraying the Crane family!" Ernest snorted.

Daniel pressed his hand down lightly. "Why don't you two fight? Whoever survives can continue this conversation with me."

Both Hector and Ernest turned to stare at him, and Daniel chuckled. "Don't look at me like that. I have no interest in your family feud. If the Crane family hadn't come knocking on my door, I wouldn't have bothered taking action."

"I've killed Rowan. I don't care if you want revenge, but my patience is limited. Your family wants too much, so you'd better think carefully before making your next move," Daniel said as he got up.

As he spoke, a powerful air erupted from him.

Hector and Ernest trembled violently, and their faces were filled with shock.
