After leaving Obsidian Group, Daniel went to find Alden.
"How's the investigation going?" Daniel asked bluntly.
Aldenm handed over a ledger.
"Omari's financial records are incredibly well-hidden. I've only managed to uncover a small portion of the transactions. But from what I've found, all the money traces back to a company in Magden—Nexus Entertainment," he explained.
Daniel nodded. "Just as I expected. Looks like flushing these people out is going to take some effort."
Omari was killed, yet the Aetherian Concord had remained completely silent.
Daniel wasn't the type to sit back and wait. If they refused to make a move, then he would force them into the open!
"Nexus Entertainment, eh?" Daniel pondered for a moment, then turned to Willow.
Willow's brow furrowed slightly upon hearing that name.
"Nexus Entertainment is one of the biggest media corporations in Magden, or even the entire country itself. They have a massive artist roster, including some of the biggest stars in the industry. In fact, Mikayla York was originally signed under them before she was poached by another company," she explained.
After a brief pause, she added, "As for the real boss behind Nexus Entertainment, I've tried investigating him. However, I was threatened by a mysterious group, so I dropped the investigation."
Daniel nodded thoughtfully.
Then, with a smirk, he asked, "Ms. Keaton, how do you feel about expanding your business into Magden?"
"So, you're planning to go after Nexus Entertainment?" she asked, suddenly intrigued.
She had expected Daniel to make a move, but she hadn't thought he'd target such a powerhouse right away.
While doing so carried great risk, the reward would also be great.
"Being too good at what you do puts a target on your back," Daniel said with a shrug, feigning helplessness. "I don't like making enemies, but they just keep coming after me."
