Her eyes widen, “You’d do that for me?”

I don’t think before I speak, the words leave my mouth quickly and easily. “I’d do anything for you, Aeliana.”

“But you need an heir, I have to-”

“You don’t have to do anything you don’t like,” I smile. “Callum and Damien can take care of that, they have Alpha blood too, and we already have Alex, that kid is our get out of jail card if we ever need one.”

“Why are you so chill about this?” She frowns, “Forget that, we can’t force someone else’s kid to be our heir, Damien doesn’t want that for Alex. There’s a lot of pressure that comes with being an Alpha.”

“Oh, I know, baby.” I sigh, I’ve been through that phase, I’m in that phase, but there’s no other place I’d rather be.

“We’ll have to make our own kids, King.” She says, sulking. “Someday.”

My heart somersaults. I was more than willing to compromise, but she just said kids, not kid. “Plural?”

,” she grins, her cheeks flushing. “One of them is bound to be ambitious like his daddy, and want the pack.”

“I prefer if they’re all determined like their mommy, ambition loves determination.”

“Sweet,” she says, kissing me. “This might be a good time to say my Noah got to me.”

“I took a pregnancy test too,” she whispers. “Just in case.” I nod, watching her carefully. “I didn’t look. Do you want to look together?” She asks, the excitement in her voice making it easy for me. Anything and everything that excites her excites me too.

“Yes.”

“Okay.” She slides off my lap, rushing to grab the bag she put down earlier. She brings out a little box and settles in my lap again. “Take it out.” She says, handing me the box. “I took it at the mini clinic.”

I nod, taking it out of the box. A clear negative stares right at me, “It’s negative.” I tell her, staring at it still.” Your birth control is working, huh?”

“Yeah,” she tenses. “I know you said you’re okay if we don’t have any, but you want kids King. Are you disappointed it’s negative?”

“Why would I be,” I ask, dropping the test. “We weren’t trying, were we?”

“No, but-”

“Nothing,” I hold her tighter. “I’m going to be a happy man to know you’re pregnant someday, but I’m even happier now.”

“Why?”

“Because we can practice some more,” I say with a smile, moving her from my lap to the bed in one swift motion that makes her gasp. “That way we’ll hit the nail on the head when it’s time.”

She laughs, her head falling back like a weight has been lifted from her shoulders. “I don’t think it works that way.”
