Chapter 270
The ride to Alpha Grayson’s packhouse is quite long, and Aeliana doesn’t stop talking about how excited she is to see Calen. I like it, she hadn’t been this excited about anything, and I worried she was losing herself, but I see it, the spark that makes her my Aeliana.
I’ll be honest, when I first heard about Grayson being related to the boy, I needed evidence to believe it. The man has little to no family, which I know all about. Not much is known about Calen’s parents, but he did prove his genetic relationship with the boy.
At the door of Alpha Grayson’s packhouse, his wife greets us. I don’t recall her name, but she’s polite, a woman in her late twenties, wife number two, from what I’ve heard. “Alpha Kingston, welcome.”
I give her a polite nod. “Thank you, Luna.”
Aeliana’s grip on my hand tightens, “Hi, I’m Aeliana.”
I can’t help but smile at how humble Aeliana is, she always seems to forget she too is a Luna. “Luna Aeliana,” the woman grins. “I know who you are. Everyone knows you here, my nephew is a big fan.”
Aeliana nods, leaning her head on my arms. “He’s a lovely boy,”
Luna takes a few steps back. “Come in, please.” She smiles again, something about her smile is a little off. It’s polite, but there’s something else behind him. “My husband will be back soon. He took our boys out hunting, they’ve been begging him to go for days, and he finally caved.” She says, leading us into their house. “They should be back any minute, he wanted to be here to receive you, but—”
“That’s alright.”
“Take a seat,” she says with yet another smile as she motions to the seats in his house. “Any.”
“Thank you,” I nod.
There’s a three-seater close to where I stand, so I sit down, and Aeliana settles beside me instantly, barely leaving any-space between us. Grayson’s Luna stares at her from her own seat, “Luna Aeliana, you are so beautiful.”
“Thank you,” she smiles, tucking her hair behind her ear. “You’re beautiful too.”
She nods, now both of them are blushing. I shift uncomfortably, I should be making a good impression, but she’s making my wife blush, how do I handle that? “I’ve been wondering,” she clears her throat. “I mean, if you don’t mind me asking.”
Aeliana nods for her to carry on.
“How did you find Calen?” She asks, leaning forward to hear the story.
Aeliana turns to me with a wide smile, “Honey?”
I pause, a little starstruck she called me Honey out in public, I shouldn’t affect this much, but it’s as good as wearing her mark on my skin, the very one she won’t grace me with. All her marks fade, but she’s always sure to give me a new one before it does. “Tell her,” she nudges me.
Right. “Well, he was rescued from a gang of rogues by one of my patrol teams. He was roughly two or one, and he couldn’t remember much to work with so we took him in.”
“How did you lose him?” Aeliana asks, sounding a little irritated. Nope, not a little, a lot. She’s very passionate about the abandoned kids at the foundation.

“My brother-in-law and his wife took them on a family vacation,” the Luna says, once again smiling.
“Them?” Aeliana frowns.
She nods, “Yes, Calen, Natalie, and Lyssandra.”
“Who are they?”
Her smile shifts into something warmer, “His sisters, Calen is a triplet. My brother-in-law only had three kids, and sadly they passed before having more.”
Aeliana gasps, “Oh.”
“Yes, and when the attack happened, we only located my brother-in-law and his wife,” she says. “Calen was nowhere to be seen, Natalie was barely alive, but taken in by some kind Samaritans who oversaw her care until we took her, and Lyssandra is still missing.”
“That’s horrible, does Natalie live with you?”
The Luna nods, her smile falling. “Yes, but the poor thing is comatose. It’s almost as if we are wasting time spending money on medical care.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine,” she smiles. “Thankfully, Calen doesn’t remember anything of the horror that happened to his parents, or sisters. We are doing everything to find his sister Lyssandra, they used to be like glue, it feels so wrong to have them apart, you know?”
