Chapter 307
“They’ll leave,” I tell her. “I’ll make them leave today.”
“Really?” She almost gasps, eyes wide with hope. I knew having Seraphine stay here was a mistake the moment she had that first panic attack, but she insisted they could stay.
“Yes,” I nod, caressing her hair. “But what happened here?”
“Seraphine is pregnant.”
I frown, I don’t care about Seraphine is and isn’t, my main and only concern here is her. “What happened with you?”
“I don’t know, I was over there,” she points towards the wall beside the kitchen entrance where I now notice a phone and a broken vase. “And then I…I saw you.” She frowns, appearing confused.
“You blacked out, Aeliana.” I swallow. I’ve read on this, I’ve read so much since her first panic attack, I’ve read so many articles on emotional suppression, and the outcomes. This was one of them, and it finally happened.
Her eyes widen, “No.”
“You hurt yourself,” I swallow, wincing at the state of her hands. It makes more sense that she blacked out because there’s no way she wouldn’t have felt this. “Look at your hands.”
“It was an accident.”
Today it was her hands, tomorrow it’ll be something fatal, I can’t let that happen to her, I can’t fail her. Rowan hands me the tweezers and I finally begin pulling out the tiny pieces of glass embedded in her skin. “Whatever is hurting you needs to be let out, I know you won’t talk to me, but you’re going to talk to
someone.”
“I’m in therapy, I’m fine Kingston,” she sniffs. “I promise I’m-”
She’s fine?
No. I won’t let those two little words cost me her life, it’s a lie that she’s become accustomed to. “We’re going to see Eleanor as soon as I’m done here.”
“Eleanor?” She frowns.
“Don’t you dare try to throw a jealous fit right now.” I warn, “You won’t sway me, you’re hurting what I love most, Aeliana. You need help, so why don’t you take it?” I snap, my words rougher than intended.
“I’m sorry.”
“Does that word have a different definition to you?” I frown. “This isn’t something you get to be sorry about, Rowan, book me an appointment with Eleanor Moore, my phone is in the car.”
AELIANA

Kingston takes his time cleaning my hand, and by the time Maddox arrives, he’s ready to bandage me up. I don’t need much, just disinfectant and the scan I get from his emergency treatment centre not far from
the house.
My hands are covered in bandages, and my heart is aching. I don’t know what happened, I wrecked my brain trying to put two and two together, but I can’t remember. The last few minutes are nothing but
bleak
When Kingston is done wrapping my hands, Maddox gives me a painkiller and the very next moment, Rowan, Kingston, and I are on our way to my therapist’s house. Today is Saturday, and she has that day off, but somehow when Rowan couldn’t reach her, the hospital gave away her address. She eventually picked up the phone and said she wouldn’t mind having us over.
Rowan stays out in the car while Kingston and I go to the door. We don’t even knock, doctor Eleanor greets us at the door, “Hello,” she smiles.
“Eleanor, I’m sorry to ambush you like this, but-”
“Come in,” she nods. Kingston steps in first, and I follow behind him. Doctor Eleanor frowns when she sees my hands. “Aeliana what happened to your hands?”
I look at Kingston before answering, he’s so worried. He looks tired too, was this what she meant in our other session? “I got hurt,” I say, going with a short answer.
“Oh.” She nods.
“I know you’re working today, but she needs someone to talk to.” He says, “She won’t talk to me.”
Doctor Eleanor nods, “Of course, no problem.” Her eyes meet mine, “Shall we get started?”
Started?
With Kingston here?
“When should I pick her up?” He asks.
“Usual time.”
He pulls me into a hug and places a gentle kiss on my forehead, “I’ll see you later. Thanks, Eleanor.”
