Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 19

Raelynn didn't have the time to argue with Seraphina.

She walked over to the mother and said gently, "I'm a doctor. Let me hold her; it'll be easier to perform first aid."

The young mother wiped her tears and nodded gratefully.

As a mother herself, Raelynn completely understood the woman's terrifying panic.

And she had plenty of experience when it came to taking care of children.

Taking the little girl, Raelynn ignored Seraphina's irritated glare. She cradled the child securely against her chest, making sure she was comfortable and perfectly positioned for emergency treatment.

Seraphina was naturally displeased with Raelynn's actions.

A flash of hidden disdain crossed her eyes.

How could she not see that Raelynn was just trying to show off in front of a crowd?

Raelynn was clearly trying to piggyback off her glory and take credit for assisting in a rescue.

Seraphina felt it was beneath her to call out Raelynn's petty schemes.

She simply leaned over, doing a quick assessment of the child.

She frowned. "The child's airway is swelling due to an allergic reaction. I'll do some basic first aid, and then we need to get her to the hospital immediately."

Raelynn didn't argue with that assessment.

Someone nearby pulled out their phone and called an ambulance.

It was indeed an allergic reaction.

But Seraphina's method of handling it...

Seraphina called out to the crowd, "Does anyone have an epinephrine auto-injector?"

No one answered.

Forcing herself to stay calm and collected, Seraphina resorted to some outdated pressure-point technique, digging her knuckles hard into the space just below the child’s nose.

Raelynn watched Seraphina's method and frowned, pressing her lips together.

It wasn't wrong, but in a severe emergency, it wouldn't do much.
