Raelynn looked confused. "Who?"
She walked into the reception room.
The moment she saw Seraphina sitting there, she instantly figured it out.
Seraphina sat with her legs crossed in perfect posture. Hearing the door, she slowly looked up.
She wasn't surprised to see Raelynn. She spoke with a tone of absolute entitlement: "The house you put a deposit on. I want it."
Raelynn stared at her flatly. "And?"
"Name your price. I'm buying it." Seraphina didn't bother beating around the bush.
She carried herself with the arrogant certainty that the entire world was meant to step aside for her.
Raelynn let out a cold laugh. "Just because you want a taste of everything doesn't mean I have to serve it to you. Keep begging for my leftovers, and I might just leave my trash on your doorstep too."
Seraphina's expression froze for a solid two seconds.
Did she just tell her to eat... garbage?
She frowned, her voice dripping with disgust. "Crude and vulgar. No wonder Sebastian doesn't want you."
"I'm only going to ask you once. Are you backing out or not?" Seraphina clearly wasn't here to negotiate.
Her tone was icy, arrogant, and completely uncompromising.
Now that she fully understood exactly who Seraphina was, Raelynn wasn't about to play nice. She turned to Mr. Stevens, making her stance crystal clear: "I'm signing the papers right now."
She completely ignored Seraphina's demands.
Mr. Stevens looked at Seraphina with extreme hesitation.
He knew exactly who this woman was.
She was the celebrity doctor who had recently been all over the national medical broadcasts.
Her background and connections were massive.
Mr. Stevens was a shrewd guy. He couldn't help but gently warn Raelynn: "Ms. Ortiz, you might not realize this, but this lady is, well... Mrs. Croix. You know the Croix family, right? The biggest old-money family in the country. She's the wife of Mr. Croix, the financial titan. It's really best not to get on her bad side."
Raelynn's brow instantly furrowed into a deep scowl.
Seraphina heard the agent advising Raelynn to step down and know her place.
The corners of her mouth immediately curved upward.
She shot Raelynn a mocking, triumphant smile, her mood instantly soaring.
Then she stood up. "Don't bother convincing her. She'll step aside when the time comes."
She felt it was beneath her to openly bicker with Raelynn in public.
The loser was always the one who threw a fit because they couldn't afford to lose.
