Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 90

Raelynn knew Sebastian was still at the hospital. He had cleared his entire schedule of critical meetings just to coddle his golden girl's perfectly fine little brother.

At least it saved Raelynn the trouble of hunting him down.

Lily was hooked up to an IV, and the scrape and bump on her head had been cleaned and treated. The little girl was fast asleep.

Raelynn gently tucked the blanket around Lily's shoulders. The absolute icy void in her chest was finally beginning to thaw.

Seeing a text from Mary saying she was already on the same floor, Raelynn turned and quietly slipped out of the room.

Missing one shoe, she had no choice but to walk barefoot on one side, limping slightly. As soon as she turned the corner, Sebastian's gaze locked onto her from down the hall.

His eyes swept over her, landing on her bare foot. Then, he looked at the door she had just stepped out of.

"Mr. Croix, the police station incident has been resolved. Ms. Hudson didn't push to escalate things," Assistant Quinn's voice reported through the phone.

Sebastian stood with one hand in his pocket, staring down the corridor. Suddenly, his long legs started moving toward the room. "Was anyone hurt?"

"It seems there was..." Quinn hesitated. "I heard Ms. Hudson had a child with her, but they were already gone by the time I arrived."

Sebastian's eyes turned instantly glacial. "The Hudson family's child?"

"Apparently the mother took the child away. The kid was injured during the sudden stop, so she rushed them to get treatment instead of waiting."

By this point, Sebastian had reached the door to the hospital room. He stared at the handle, then reached out and gripped it.

"Understood," he said.

He ended the call and pushed the handle down. The door cracked open an inch.

"Sebastian. We need to talk."

And now, it was time to finally pull out the thorn that had been buried in her flesh for nearly a decade.

She took a slow breath, meeting his oppressive, heavy gaze with absolute dead calm.

"Sebastian, let's get a divorce."

For a split second, Sebastian's expression turned unreadable, his eyes growing stormier. Yet his handsome face remained infuriatingly blank, completely devoid of joy or anger.

He just stared at her, saying absolutely nothing.

Raelynn couldn't care less. Giving her the silent treatment and acting as if she didn't exist was what Sebastian did best.

She took a step forward and shoved the manila envelope firmly against his chest, forcing him to take it.

Her voice was lighter, freer than it had been in years. "We're done dragging each other down. Our ending was written from the very beginning. I expect you at the lawyer's office tomorrow. I'll text you the time. Don't be late."
