Burn in the Alpha Princess's Wrath (Leslie and Kirby) novel Chapter 458

Leslie’s POV

"You damned woman!"

I smiled. "I am a woman, yes—and I’m the one woman you can’t afford to cross."

Marcus turned deathly pale with rage. Suddenly, his breathing became rapid as he looked toward the two Gammas at the door. They were frozen, stunned by the sudden turn of events. He began to gasp for air, looking as if he were on the verge of collapsing.

I let out a soft laugh. "Drop the act. Your health is perfectly fine. As they say—the good die young, but a nuisance like you will live for a thousand years."

His breathing gradually leveled out, and his tone turned cold and heavy. "What do you want? Fine. Since you’ve got the upper hand, today’s negotiation is over. You can go."

I curled my lip and looked at him with a pleasant smile. "Go? You’re in my hands now; do you really think it’s that easy to leave?"

"What are you planning?"

"I’m going to tell Kirby exactly what you’ve been doing to him."

I saw him falter. His gaze tightened instantly. He wasn't afraid of Kirby knowing about his secret meetings with the old guard, but if Kirby found out he had targeted me, the man would likely lose his mind.

The air in the suite felt as heavy as a lead weight. I stood behind Marcus while the two guards at the door hovered indecisively, their eyes darting back and forth as they weighed whether or not to charge.

Asphodel let out a low growl. Let them try.

Marcus let out a cold snort, his voice carrying the authority of an old Alpha. "Do it. Restrain them. Do not let them leave this room!"

I sneered, my voice cutting through the air like a blade. "I dare anyone to try."

Kirby’s POV

Garen Club.

I finally made it. I shoved the door open only to be met with a startling sight: Marcus, the Alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack, was trembling under the suppression of a black wolf, looking as pathetic as a beaten stray.

Lawrence’s eyes widened. The old wolf is finished.

That black wolf was Leslie. She looked as elegant as Rogue royalty, her fur shimmering under the firelight. She had a bright, knowing smile on her face as she looked down at Marcus from a position of absolute power.

Malach was right behind me, his mouth hanging open in shock. The two guards at the door took one look at me and turned ghost-white, quickly retreating to the side and lowering their heads.

I breathed a sigh of relief. Lawrence let out a low hum. Marcus actually tried to go after Leslie. Too bad for him, he can't even handle her.

I had thought she needed me to save the day. It seems I overthought things.
