“Help! Grandpa and Uncle have already made me try on fifty-eight dresses!”

Kade’s reply came right away. “Hang tight. I just got through your uncle’s physical, and now your grandfather’s putting me through his own evaluation…”

I couldn’t hold back a laugh-which Gordon immediately caught. “What’s so funny, Nira?”

“Oh, nothing…” I slipped my phone out of sight. “I was just thinking how lucky I am to have you looking out for me, Grandpa.”

Gordon’s face lit up. “This is only the beginning! Jeeves, bring up those jewelry lots from yesterday’s auction-let’s see how they look on my granddaughter.”

Third-Person POV:

On the evening of the gala, Hudson Manor was locked down tight. Elite male warriors from the pack—the strongest of the strong-were positioned at every entry and corridor.

Guests had to clear three separate security checkpoints just to step inside, and even their cell phones were collected at the door.

As the hour drew near, the crowded ballroom grew restless, everyone straining for a glimpse of the family’s mysterious heir…

Then the crystal chandeliers slowly dimmed.

A single spotlight cut through the haze, landing at the top of the sweeping marble staircase.

The room fell silent.

Slowly, a figure descended-a young woman in a custom champagne-gold gown, its skirt hand-embroidered with countless diamonds that scattered light like a trail of stardust with

every step.

Her skin glowed like polished ivory, and resting just above her collarbone was a pendant set with a rare blue diamond, its gleam harmonizing with the tiny gems adorning her dress.

“She’s breathtaking,” someone murmured from the crowd.

“A shame she doesn’t carry the wolf spirit,” another whispered, not without regret.

“Still, she’s a Hudson-pureblood and high-born. No one would dare disrespect her…”

At the foot of the stairs, Kade had been waiting.

Dressed in a sharply tailored black tuxedo, his broad shoulders and lean frame commanded attention—every inch the top-tier Alpha.

On his lapel shone a blue diamond pin, a clear match to Nira’s pendant. The fine fabric of his suit held a subtle sheen, elegant and understated.

All the sharp intensity he showed in the boardroom had melted away; now his deep eyes held only warmth, his lips curved into a soft, private smile.

As Nira reached the final step, Kade went down on one knee. Gently, he took her hand and slid onto her feet a pair of crystal heels, each adorned with sapphires.

His fingers brushed lightly over her ankle, the gesture tender, almost reverent—as though she were the most precious treasure in his world.

Looking down, Nira smiled, two faint dimples appearing. She reached out and softly touched his cheek.

Their eyes met, and something electric passed between them.

For a moment, the entire ballroom seemed to hold its breath. Side by side, they were a vision –she luminous as moonlight, he bright as the sun. So perfectly matched that even the most critical eye could find no flaw.

The champagne gold and the classic black tuxedo contrasted stunningly under the lights, as if made for one another.

Even the legendary lovers gazing from the oil paintings on the walls seemed to fade in comparison.

“My God… Isn’t that Kade? The heir to the Alpha King line?” someone finally whispered, recognizing the man at the stairs.

Then Gordon stepped forward, beaming with pride. “Ladies and gentlemen,” he announced, voice carrying across the hushed room. “Tonight, it is my honor to introduce to you all-the long-lost girl of the Hudson family… my granddaughter, Nira.”
