He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 148

Suddenly, in the middle of all the noise, Theresia heard a name that made her stop in her tracks.

“Garry can’t have gotten far. If we let him slip away this time, we’re all finished.”

“He’s hurt bad. He’ll have to go to a hospital. I’ll send guys to watch every entrance. If anyone spots him, there’s no mercy.”

“Fine, you cover the hospitals, I’ll keep searching here. No way he just disappears into thin air.”

Theresia strained to listen, holding her breath until the two men hurried past her and their voices faded. Only then did she exhale, her chest tight with worry.

They were after Garry. And he was injured.

No wonder he hadn’t answered her calls.

A heavy tension settled over her, something raw and instinctive that made her whole body restless. Her brows pulled together, her face serious and focused.

Night had fallen, covering the city in a blanket of shadows and quiet. Theresia left the Onyx Club, her thoughts tangled with worry for Garry.

She drifted through the parking garage, numb and distracted. She reached for her car door automatically, but just as her fingers brushed the handle, she glanced up. Her heart skipped a beat.

Under the pale glow of the moon, a tall figure leaned against a car. His sharp features were tense, and she saw dried blood on his cheek.

She didn’t even think. Theresia rushed toward him. Garry looked up, shocked, only noticing her when she was right in front of him.

His eyes widened. “Teresa?”

She glanced past him, spotting shadows moving in their direction. Her voice was tight and urgent. “Don’t say a word.”

Three men burst into the parking lot.

He reached Theresia’s sports car, lifted his club, and slammed it into the back window.

Through the broken glass, he caught sight of a woman, her hair wild, her clothes in disarray. She looked right at them, her cheeks flushed, her eyes blazing, but she didn’t stop what she was doing.

Even when she noticed them, her body kept moving, hips rolling in a way that made it impossible to look away.

Theresia’s voice came out in a breathless, shaky moan. “Who gave you the guts to smash Hanson’s car? Are you insane… ah…”

Owen, in the center, couldn’t look away from her. Her eyes were dark and sultry, almost daring him to say something.

Her long legs were wrapped around a man’s waist, her arms locked tightly around his neck. Her hair kept swinging, hiding the man’s face, but his strong arms were circled around her, holding her close, moving in time with her.

“Get out of the car,” Owen ordered, but his voice was rough, uncertain.

Theresia glared at him, clearly annoyed. “Can’t you see I’m in the middle of something? I’ll get out when I’m done. You just smashed Hanson’s car. Do you really think you’ll get away with it?”
