He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 155

Theresia nodded and kept walking inside.

She asked casually, “How’s Garry doing?”

Warren’s eyes flicked up and he answered right away, “He’s got a fever. Barely eaten anything since yesterday. He looks really out of it. Teresa, you should go check on him.”

A wound that deep, with no hospital or operating room, was almost guaranteed to get infected and cause a fever.

Theresia didn’t hesitate. She hugged the box of medicine to her chest and pushed open the door.

As soon as Garry saw her, the tough look on his face disappeared. Something bright sparked in his eyes. He noticed Warren grinning behind her and shot him a sharp look.

Warren jumped in, “Teresa, I’ll grab you a glass of water. You two go ahead and talk.”

Theresia barely reacted, her focus only on Garry’s wound. She walked straight to his bedside, not saying a word, and reached for his blanket.

Before she could pull it back, Garry caught her wrist. “What are you doing?”

She leaned down, locking eyes with him, her expression steady. “What do you think I’m doing? Trying to take advantage of you?”

Garry had nothing to say to that.

She slipped her hand free and said offhandedly, “Relax. You’re really not my type. I just need to take care of your bandages.”

She pulled the blanket away. Garry’s chest was exposed, but his skin wasn’t tan or bronze like you’d expect. It was shockingly pale, almost ghostly. Theresia had never seen anyone so fair. For a second, it made her wonder if skin like that even belonged on a living person.

The awkward closeness happened all over again. By the time she was done, Theresia thought she might burst into flames. She kept her eyes anywhere but on Garry.

“These are your meds. Make sure Warren changes your dressing every day,” she said, her voice as steady as she could manage.

Garry, for his part, just kept his eyes on her, totally unbothered.

Theresia stood there, searching for something to do. She spotted a cooling patch on the table, picked it up, and said, “Let me put this on for you.”

Garry’s expression tightened for just a second, but then he nodded. “Thanks. I appreciate it.”

She stepped closer and pressed the patch gently to his forehead.
