Mamie showed up out of nowhere, her words sharp enough to cut. Leila’s confusion quickly turned into anger. She marched right up to her. “Who do you think you are? You think you can just come here and insult me?”
Mamie was young, stunning, and her body made Leila feel plain in comparison.
Mamie slid off her sunglasses, a smirk tugging at her lips. “You don’t have to know me. What matters is, I know your husband.”
She ran her hand over her rounded belly, her voice dripping with pride. “Oh, and I almost forgot. There’s also the baby I’m carrying. Your husband cares about this baby a lot.”
Leila hadn’t noticed Mamie’s bump before. Now it was impossible to ignore. Did she really mean the baby was Eric’s?
Leila’s eyes went wide. “No way. You’re lying. Eric would never do that to me. He’d never cheat.”
Felton stepped up beside Leila, his loyalty clear. He still believed in his dad, even if Eric had messed up once before. That had only happened because Naomi had gone after him first.
Felton folded his arms, siding with Leila. “That’s ridiculous. I know my dad. You’re just talking nonsense. Where’s your proof?”
Mamie didn’t even flinch. She let out a cold laugh. “Proof? Please. I’m not here to beg you to recognize my child. I’m just letting you know you have three days to move out of my house. If you don’t, I’ll do it myself.”
Leila blinked, thrown off. “Your house? What are you talking about?”
Mamie’s laugh was light, almost mocking. “The villa you’re living in now, obviously.”
“Why would we have to leave?” Leila demanded.
Mamie just shrugged, pulling a document from her purse. “Because of this. Eric signed it himself.”
Someone in the crowd recognized Mamie right away.
“Isn’t that Eric’s mistress?”
“Yeah, that’s her. She’s the one from that video, the one Eric took shopping for expensive stuff.”
“Wow. Mistresses these days have no shame.”
“Honestly, Eric’s trash. Leila can’t be much better. You really think she didn’t know all his charity work was just for show?”
“Now that you say it, it all makes sense. They’re both terrible. Let them fight. We’ll just watch.”
