He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 198

Theresia gave a quiet laugh. “Honestly, just seeing you finally get what you deserve is all the closure I need.”

She turned to leave, not bothering to look back.

Leila’s stare bore into her, cold and furious. Then, out of nowhere, Leila screamed, “Theresia, just die already!”

In a flash, Leila pulled out a knife and charged.

Felton gasped, but there was no time to react.

Theresia spun around, only to find the blade already coming at her. She barely registered it when a powerful shove knocked her aside.

Stunned, she looked up and saw Naomi standing in her place, Leila’s knife buried in Naomi’s shoulder.

Everything snapped into focus. Theresia rushed over, kicking Leila away, then caught Naomi before she could fall. “Hold on. I’m getting you to the hospital.”

Naomi’s face was white with pain, but she still tried to smile. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”

Theresia said nothing. Her eyes burned and her throat tightened.

At the hospital, the doctors patched Naomi up. The wound wasn’t deep, thank goodness, and it missed anything serious.

Theresia had already called the police. Leila was arrested, and the officers had stopped by to take everyone’s statements.

Lying in her hospital bed, Naomi insisted on going home, but Theresia shook her head. “You’re not leaving until the doctor says you can.”

Naomi watched her quietly, then whispered, “Please don’t be mad. I didn’t mean to cause you trouble.”

Theresia was peeling an apple, but her hand froze mid-motion. She set the apple down, her expression unreadable. “You think I’m mad because you caused me trouble?”

Theresia smiled even brighter. “Mom.”

Naomi burst into tears, sobbing so hard she couldn’t stop. “Theresia, my daughter, you finally… you finally accept me.”

She was so happy she barely slept that night.

Theresia stayed right by her side, watching her sleep with a soft smile.

Before long, her phone started to vibrate. Theresia quietly stepped out of the room to answer.

“Hanson, what’s going on?”

Hanson sounded strained, his voice tight from the other end. “Theresia, things are getting more complicated. Acton won’t admit anyone else was behind this.”
