He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 200

So he already knew. But honestly, it was too late now.

When Theresia stayed silent, Lawrence went on, his voice almost admiring. “Garry’s something else. I have to admit, he managed to rescue Acton’s daughter from me in no time. I really underestimated him.”

Theresia’s heart skipped a beat.

Garry had found Acton’s daughter? No wonder Lawrence was desperate enough to kidnap her. He must have realized he was about to lose everything.

Then, Lawrence changed his tone, trying to sound casual, like none of this bothered him. “It doesn’t matter what’s going on between you two. We’re leaving anyway. Once we’re out of the country, we can start fresh. Theresia, I’ll love you for the rest of my life.”

Theresia shot him a look full of rage. “Start over with you? I’d rather go down with you than start anything new.”

For a moment, sadness flickered in Lawrence’s eyes, but then he just looked confused. “You hate me that much? You actually want me dead?”

A cold, empty feeling settled inside him. Theresia was the woman he loved most, and yet, she was the one forcing him into this corner.

At this point, Lawrence had nothing left to lose. “It doesn’t matter if you hate me. Loving you is enough for me. Theresia, you’ll never get away from me. We’re meant to be tangled together, until the very end.”

A wave of disgust ran through Theresia.

She stared hard at him, and a reckless idea took root. It was risky, but it was all she had.

Her eyes landed on the chain-strap bag at her side. Suddenly, she grabbed the chain, looped it around Lawrence’s neck, and yanked back with everything she had.

The car went out of control. Lawrence struggled to steer with one hand, the other clawing at the chain cutting into his neck.

They swerved all over the road, sideswiping cars, metal screeching in their wake.

Drivers started yelling from their windows.

Suddenly, the car smashed into the median and flipped onto its side.

Pain exploded in Theresia’s head, every bone in her body screaming. Blood ran down from her forehead, covering half her face.

She forced herself to stay awake and crawled out of the wrecked car.

Unsteady on her feet, she heard police sirens wailing nearby. Sunlight spilled over her, and for a second, she managed a small, relieved smile.

She had no strength left. She couldn’t take another step.

Everything blurred as she felt the cold barrel of a gun press to her temple. Lawrence had her, using her as a shield, facing off against the police surrounding them.

His eyes darted nervously at the officers. Leaning in close, he whispered, “Theresia, if I can’t get out of here, we’ll die together. That way, I’ll never have to be alone again.”
