He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 202

It wasn’t just a logo. It was something more—something unique.

Three years ago, Lawrence had spotted that exact emblem on a man’s suit at home. He’d sent Aaron to look into it, but nothing ever came of it.

And now, he realized, that suit had belonged to him.

Lawrence stood there, shaking so hard he could barely control it. His fists were clenched tight, like some wild animal barely held back.

A police officer tugged at his arm. “What are you staring at? Keep moving.”

Lawrence’s chest burned with frustration, but in the end, he had no choice but to let them force him into the car.

Teresa woke up a day later.

When she opened her eyes, Naomi, Hanson, and Helena were all right there beside her.

The next thing she knew, Helena was hugging her, crying so hard her tears soaked Teresa’s shoulder. “You scared me half to death, Teresa. Seriously. I thought I was going to lose you! If you ever do that again, I’m cutting you off.”

Teresa managed a small cough. “I’m not sure if you were scared to death, but I’m pretty sure you’re about to choke me to death.”

Helena suddenly realized and let go, then Hanson grabbed her and pulled her aside. “Teresa just woke up. You can’t squeeze her like that. Give her some space.”

With Helena out of the way, Hanson leaned over. “Teresa, are you feeling okay? Anywhere hurt? I can get the doctor.”

“I’m fine, really,” Teresa whispered.

Hanson didn’t look convinced. “No, I’m not taking any chances. I’ll get the doctor to check you just in case.”

Naomi nodded in agreement. “He’s right. I’ll call someone over.”

A few minutes later, a doctor came in and checked her over. When he finally said she was okay, everyone’s shoulders eased with relief.

That realization made her feel a little better.

Just then, Helena spoke up. “The way Naomi described him, it sounds like Garry. So it wasn’t the police who brought you here, it was Garry?”

Helena’s questions kept coming. “Teresa, what was he even doing there?”

But Garry hadn’t just been there. He was the one who fired the shot that hit Lawrence’s wrist.

Teresa pressed her lips together, worry flickering in her eyes.

From the first time she met Garry, she’d seen his violent side. The gunshot wound from before was proof enough that he wasn’t your typical businessman.

Now he’d fired a gun in public. That had to raise suspicion. What if he was in trouble?

Teresa turned quickly to Hanson, worry written all over her face. “Hanson, you know people at the police station. Can you ask around and see if anyone named Garry was brought in the last couple days?”
