He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 553

Usually, Kyle never took Janetta's side or supported her schemes. But right now, his desire was genuine. He wanted to see the ocean, which was the only reason he had chimed in.

So when Sebastian asked, the boy nodded with utter sincerity.

"Daddy, can we?" Kyle asked again, unable to hide his hopefulness.

"If you want to go, then we'll go," Sebastian smiled warmly.

Kyle let out a cheerful sound, his eyes curving into little crescents of pure joy.

"Thank you, Daddy," he replied politely, displaying an adorable, mature seriousness.

With that settled, Sebastian slid into the car, and the driver took the three of them back to their hotel.

...

By evening, the Campbell family's driver had switched to a luxury SUV, taking Julian, Helena, and Skye across city lines to Seapearl City. They arrived just as the sun began to set. Skye was bouncing with excitement, practically dragging the two adults toward the sandy shore.

Helena sighed, though her eyes were full of indulgence. "Slow down, sweetie. You don't have to sprint," she gently cautioned.

Skye just flashed her a radiant grin before darting toward the water, immediately mesmerized by the rolling waves and soft sand.

"I'll go play with her. You just relax here," Julian offered easily.

"Alright," Helena nodded. "Thanks for handling her."

"It's my pleasure," Julian chuckled.

"Understood," Jared agreed.

They hammered out a few more details before ending the call.

Scanning the list Jared forwarded, Helena immediately spotted Janetta's name, nestled among several heavyweight veteran actors. After quickly catching up with the producers and directors in their group chat, she already had a solid grasp on how things would play out.

She remained perfectly silent, her slender finger tracing over the screen before stopping right on Janetta's name. Janetta was gunning for the lead role in Destiny's Choice. There was absolutely no way Helena was going to let her have it.

Destiny's Choice was meant to be an uplifting, empowering story. However, there was a supporting female character woven throughout the plot—one with limited screen time, but whose actions perfectly mirrored every vile, manipulative thing Janetta had done in real life. If Janetta was going to get a part, it would be that one.

Helena lowered her eyes, her expression unreadable. She stayed lost in thought until her phone rang again, snapping her back to reality. Seeing her assistant's name, she calmly answered. They spent the next few minutes discussing operational details, eventually touching on the ongoing partnership with The Hayes Corporation.
