Chapter 150
Chapter 150
The Draconia livestream chat was going wild.
momo: [I’m dying, LOL! I can’t breathe!]
BornToCuss: [Lil Lily, are you seriously teaching him English right now? Is this what we’re doing?]
AnotherDayAlive: [Blake: I came here to kill you, and now you’ve got me doing English conversation practice?]
AteVeggiesEdition: [Nice tuh meet yuu too. Perfect answer. Ten points to Blake!]
GoDraconia: [Wait, did you guys catch that? When Saint Jane had Blake hanging, Lil Lily said, “Don’t kill him yet,” not “Don’t kill him. That’s a huge difference, guys!]
LyraSuperfan: [LOL, exactly! “Don’t kill him yet” means she’s just saving him for later!]
NoMoreNutrient Goo: [Lil Lily: This guy’s useful. Let’s keep him for Goddess Lyra to get the kill. Waste not, want not!]
LuckyKoi: [Honestly, I’m still a bit worried. Blake was specifically targeting Lil Lily. What if more show up later?]
GiveMeAChance: [Relax, Saint Jane’s here! Did you see that move? Blake didn’t even have time to react!]
momo: [Yeah, but the game gave Blake a Locator Card specifically to track Lil Lily down. That’s so messed up!]
The chat kept blowing up, but on screen, Lil Lily had already wrapped up her “lesson.”
Blake was pinned to the floor by Jane’s soul power, his face pressed into the ground, still mumbling under his breath.
“I can… Please!” Blake pleaded.
Lil Lily tilted her head and turned to Jane. “Big Sis Jane, what’s he saying?”
Jane drifted over to Blake and looked down at him.
“He says he’s got info. He knows who the other Hunters are,” Jane said.
Lil Lily just went, “Oh.”
Jane totally ignored Blake’s begging and squeezed her soul power tighter, making his face turn bright red.
I ask, you answer, Jane said in English. Blake nodded like crazy.
“How did you find her?” Jane asked.
Blake’s mouth worked a couple times before he managed, “Locator Card. I pulled it from a treasure chest. There was this blue line that kept pointing right at her.”
“Who sent you to kill her?” Jane pressed.
“The game! It was the game!” Blake’s voice was shaky, almost breaking. “There was a note in the chest, a cheat sheet. It said if I killed her, I’d instantly clear the game, take all her items, and grab two things from the prize pool.”
Jane’s soul form paused for a second. “Where’s the note?”
“In my pocket! Left pocket. Blake blurted out.
Jane used her soul power to fish a folded note out of his pocket and unfolded it.

The writing on the note was crystal clear.
[Hunter’s Cheat Sheet.]
[Target: Lily, Draconia player.]
[Finish the mission and you get: every item the target has, your pick of any two things from the prize pool, plus you get to skip the next round.]
Jane flipped the note over, but the back was blank. She folded it up and drifted back to Lil Lily.
Lil Lily stood on her tiptoes to peek at the note. “What does it say?”
Jane handed it to her.
Lil Lily took the note and read it word by word, her mouth slowly falling open. “So the mission is to kill me?”
Jane nodded.
Lil Lily went over the note again, then looked up. “Big Sis Jane, he wasn’t just here by accident?”
“Nope,” Jane said.
“The game gave him a Locator Card to hunt you down, plus a cheat sheet that told him exactly what he’d get for taking you out,” Jane explained.
“This isn’t some random hunt. This is a targeted hit, they’re after you specifically,” Jane said.
Lil Lily gripped the note, her lips pressed into a thin line. “Why me?”
She looked up at Jane. “Is the game out to get me? Did I loot too many treasure chests? Did I make the game mad?”
Jane studied her face, making sure she wasn’t freaking out before she spoke. “I’m not sure why.”
Jane drifted over, took the note from her, folded it up, and put it away.
“Maybe you’ve got too much loot, or maybe the game just thinks you’re a pushover,” Jane said.
Lil Lily pouted. “I’m not a pushover.”
“I know,” Jane said with a laugh, tapping Lil Lily on the forehead.
“It doesn’t matter why the game’s after you,” Jane said.
“As long as I’m around, nobody’s gonna lay a finger on you,” she added,
Lil Lily sniffled and nodded hard. “Yeah!”
She glanced at Blake, still tied up on the floor, then looked back at Jane.
“Big Sis Jane, let’s go find Goddess Lyra and hand this guy over to her!” Lil Lily said.
“Sure,” Jane replied.
Jane tuned into the card’s direction, her eyes locking onto a spot northwest. “Found her.”
Lil Lily perked up, her steps light and quick as she scampered over to the couch, peering down at Blake.
Blake looked up at her with hopeful eyes, thinking she was about to let him go.

Lil Lily gave him a quick smile, then turned to Jane. “Big Sis Jane, he won’t shut up. What if someone hears him when we
leave?”
Jane glanced at the couch. “Gag him.”
Lil Lily grabbed a corner of the couch cover and yanked, but it wouldn’t budge. With a flick of Jane’s soul power, a wide strip of fabric tore right off.
Lil Lily crouched down in front of Blake and wadded the fabric up.
Blake’s eyes bugged out. “Wait! Wait, wait, wait!”
Lil Lily shoved the wad right into his mouth.
“Mmph! Mmph.” Blake let out a muffled protest.
Lil Lily dusted off her hands and stood up. “Let’s go!”
Jane used her soul power to hoist Blake up and drag him along behind her as she followed Lil Lily out through the west door.
Blake’s body dangled in the air, his mouth making muffled noises, his legs kicking uselessly at nothing.
Lil Lily didn’t even look back, her steps light and quick.
The game’s death announcement blared again.
