Chapter 106 Can You Give It a Rest?
It wasn’t out of malice, but simply to keep from disrupting anyone else’s life.

Caleb scoffed. “Even after all this, you’re still planning on giving him a kid? Talk about hopelessly devoted.”
“The baby is mine,” Jasmine said firmly. “It has nothing to do with Silas.”
Caleb opened his mouth to say more, but Sierra arrived with the first-aid kit and promptly kicked his leg.
“Can you give it a rest? Can’t you see how swollen Jasmine’s face is?”
Caleb shut up.
Sierra began applying medication to Jasmine’s face. “You need to get a divorce as soon as possible,” she said. “Staying in that godforsaken place any longer will literally drive you insane.”
Of course, Jasmine wanted a divorce sooner rather than later. But the timing wasn’t right yet.

Silas’s company was currently developing a large AI model specifically tailored for the aviation sector. Once successful, it would completely revolutionize the industry, making Silas virtually untouchable.
And Jasmine was the mastermind behind this entire project.
To help Silas’s company carve out an untouchable lead in the artificial intelligence market, Jasmine had secretly intervened to get the AI model’s development on the right track. To this day, Silas had no idea that the wife he treated like trash was actually a multi-talented genius expert in mathematics, coding, and AI.
Since Silas had shown her no mercy, she owed him no loyalty.
When she finally walked away, she would take everything that belonged to her and leave him with absolutely nothing.
Jasmine’s mind flashed back to the scene in the hospital room.
“Don’t you guys think Theodore’s sudden obsession with doing a DNA test today feels a bit like he’s trying too hard to hide something?”
Caleb nodded in agreement. “The harder you try to cover something up, the more obvious it becomes. If that child really isn’t Silas’s, a man with Theodore’s resources could easily fake a paternity test.”
Sierra looked perplexed. “You’d think these wealthy elite families would care about bloodlines above all else. Things have already escalated this far, so why is Madeline so vehemently against a paternity test?”
“She doesn’t want to offend the Sterling family,” Caleb explained, cutting straight to the heart of the matter. “Besides, she was the one who orchestrated the whole ‘borrowing a womb’ plan in the first place. Why would she ever suspect herself?”
“The doctor said flat out that Silas’s sperm count is too low for him to get anyone pregnant,” Sierra added. “And with how Theodore acted today, I’m practically certain. Oh my god, after all this, the kid really isn’t Silas’s? Did my prediction actually come true? Is Silas seriously a cuckold?”

Caleb offered a more cautious reminder. “That’s still just our theory; we don’t have absolute proof yet. It would be best if we could somehow get a blood sample from the child to test.”
He looked over at Jasmine. “Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?”
Sierra glared at him. “After the scene we caused today, you think it’s going to be that simple?*
Jasmine, however, had come to a clear realization.
“Honestly, blowing things out into the open today isn’t a bad thing. Now I don’t have to keep playing along with Silas anymore. Knowing I hold leverage over them will actually make them wary of me, which means I might finally get some peace and quiet. Right now, my absolute priority is halting the development of the aviation AI model.”
“How are you going to stop it?” Sierra asked. “Nexora Tech has brought in a completely new technical team. None of your people are left, so getting your hands on the data and source code will be incredibly difficult. Plus, you can’t even step foot inside his office building.”
“Silas previously agreed to let me work at the company as his secretary,” Jasmine said. “At the time, I planned on biding my time and acting as opportunities arose, but now it seems that won’t be necessary.”
Sierra was confused. “What are you planning to do?”
Jasmine gently, almost idly, stroked her stomach.
“Don’t forget-I was the one who cracked the core data for that AI model in the first place.”
Caleb suddenly burst into a loud laugh.
“What are you smirking at?” Sierra asked, annoyed.
Caleb turned his attention to Jasmine. “I finally get why you and Ethan hit it off so well. You’re both brilliant, calculating masterminds. When it comes to plotting against people, you’re a match made in heaven. Mark my words, Ethan is going to leave Theodore coughing up blood for slapping you today.”
“What do you mean?” Jasmine asked.
What did any of this have to do with Ethan?
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Caleb replied evasively.
Jasmine didn’t press him, but the mention of it reminded her of something else. “By the way, why did you suddenly show up at the hospital?”
She had called Sierra, who had come over out of concern. But how did Caleb end up rushing over here, perfectly timed to walk into the hospital room?
“Ethan told me to, obviously,” Caleb said.
Ethan?
