Chapter 120 Just Bored
Jasmine smiled. “Someone who enjoys insulting you.”
“Who?”
“A woman who thinks you’re unbearable.”
Caleb rolled his eyes. “Ugh, of course it’s that obnoxious Sierra woman.”
“Why do you keep pushing her buttons anyway?” Jasmine asked with a chuckle.
“Just bored, I guess.”
Jasmine was utterly speechless.
“Where are you heading? Where’s your car?” Caleb asked.
“The hospital,” Jasmine replied.
“Perfect. I was actually on my way to visit Mr. Thorne myself. Hop in.”

Jasmine climbed into the passenger seat, and Caleb immediately dropped a paper bag onto her lap.
“Picked this up on the way.”
Jasmine opened the bag and pulled out the contents. It was a baby outfit.
She couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s way too early for this.”
“I was walking through the mall and just happened to see it,” Caleb said. “I figured as the kid’s dad, I should probably show some initiative, right?”
Jasmine, well-accustomed to his nonsense by now, just shook her head with a smile.
“In all seriousness, though,” Caleb continued, “if you do end up divorcing Silas, you should really consider
me.”
Jasmine treated it as a joke. “I’m literally pregnant. You’re that eager to raise another man’s child?”
“I don’t care whose kid it is. If it’s yours, I’m all in.”
Jasmine caught her breath. For a split second, she realized Caleb looked entirely serious.
To break the tension, she shot back playfully, “Well, even if you’re willing, I’m not.”
Caleb smoothly changed the subject. “Ethan’s hosting a dinner tonight. Want to come along?”
“You know I can’t show my face at those things right now,” Jasmine said.
“That’s an easy fix. I’ll just get a private room for those of us who are close.”

Chapter 120 Just Bored
“Thanks, but I’d rather pass. I want to stay at the hospital and keep my dad company.”

“Mr. Thorne is already awake, Jasmine. You can’t just live at the hospital. The place reeks of bleach. Even if you can handle it, the baby inside you is probably throwing a fit over the smell.”
Jasmine burst out laughing. “The baby isn’t even fully formed yet. How on earth would they smell anything?”
“Look, the main thing is that your dad cares about you,” Caleb said, his tone softening. “Seeing you run yourself ragged makes him feel worse. You need to relax. If you keep your nerves fried like this 24/7, something’s going to give. Don’t worry about tonight-it’s just a casual catch-up with close friends. No drinking, no pressure. You just get to sit back and unwind.”
Jasmine thought it over and finally relented.
He was right. It had been a long time since she had properly caught up with her old friends. She might as well take the opportunity.
That evening, Jasmine and Caleb arrived at the Eclipse Club. The moment they walked in, Sierra came bursting toward them like an excited puppy.
Caleb immediately blocked her, pushing her back. “Are you crazy? She’s practically a VIP right now— handle with care!”
Caught off guard, Sierra lost her balance and stumbled backward. Fortunately, Ethan caught her before she hit the floor. The sudden physical contact and the faint scent of his cologne sent a brief jolt through her, making her stiffen.
She quickly pulled away, giving him a grateful look before turning back to Jasmine. “Right, I completely forgot. My bad, my bad!”
Sierra grabbed Jasmine’s hand and pulled her toward the booth. “I am so glad you came. Look at this—it’s just a bunch of guys and me.”
“Isn’t that perfect?” Caleb teased. “A bunch of thorns to make a single flower stand out.”
Sierra adopted a mock-sweet tone. “Wow, look at that. Caleb is actually speaking like a human being for
once.”
Caleb grinned mischievously. “Too bad the flower is a loudmouth.”
Too happy to care, Sierra ignored him. Even Jasmine noticed she was in a much better mood than usual.
“You seem like you’re in high spirits today,” Jasmine noted.
“My family finally agreed to stop forcing me into blind dates,” Sierra explained. “Of course I’m thrilled.”
“How did you manage to convince them?”
“I just told them I have a boyfriend.”

Even Caleb was stunned by that one. “Wait, you didn’t tell them it was me, did you?”
“Look at you, putting two and two together,” Sierra said.
