“Shut your mouth!” Jasmine screamed at the top of her lungs. “If you hadn’t flaunted your little whore right in front of his face, he wouldn’t have gotten upset! If he hadn’t gotten upset, he’d still be alive!”
“How does that make any sense?!” Silas argued. “Your dad saw me with Felicity, but he wasn’t angry. He literally just told me he hoped you and I could part on good terms!”
Refusing to listen to another word, Jasmine screamed and began shoving him toward the exit. “Get out Get the hell out! I never want to see either of you disgusting pigs again!”
Felicity was knocked to the floor, and in the chaos, Silas accidentally stepped on her.
Furious and deeply concerned, Silas helped Felicity up, having completely reached his breaking point. “Jasmine, you’re a hysterical lunatic! Getting a divorce from you is clearly the best decision I’ve ever made!”
Hugh stepped forward to intervene, but Eleanor grabbed his arm and held him back.
“Mom,” Hugh muttered under his breath. “She’s still a Thorne. We’re just going to stand here and let some outsider push her around?”
Eleanor remained completely indifferent. “She clearly doesn’t consider us family. If she did, why wouldn’t she consult us before making a massive decision like getting a divorce?
Finding it hard to argue with her logic, Hugh abandoned any thought of stepping in.
Just then, a funeral home staff member approached Eleanor to take care of some paperwork. Hugh went along with her, leaving Jasmine entirely on her own as Silas kept shoving her back.
Jasmine couldn’t stand the sight of Felicity playing the pathetic victin and lunged forward to slap her again, but Silas blocked her.
“Jasmine, don’t push your luck! I’m only humoring you because your father just died, but you’re taking this way too far!”
Jasmine flinched, then began wildly flailing and striking out at Silas. “You are an absolute monster, Silas! You’re blind! I hope you spend the rest of your miserable life dying entirely alone!”
Silas snapped back without thinking. “You don’t need to worry about that. I already have a son, so you’d better start worrying about yourself.”
“Ha! I just hope that son is actually yours, and not some other man’s parting gift.”
Felicity trembled slightly and took a step forward. “Jasmine, you are crossing the line.”
Silas immediately threw his arm out to shield her behind him. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, Jasmine. I already sent Leo’s blood samples in for testing, and the results should be ready. I’ll have Marcus pick up the paternity report in the next day or two, and then I’ll let you see with your own eyes whether Leo carries my blood!”

Felicity’s grip on Silas’s jacket tightened in a sudden panic.
She had no idea…
“Silas, what are you talking about…?”

Realizing his anger had made him slip up, Silas scrambled to explain. “Felicity, please don’t take it the wrong way. She keeps using Leo’s paternity to torture us, so I only ordered the test to finally shut her up: That’s all it is, I promise. Don’t overthink it.”
Tears streamed down Felicity’s face. “How could you do this without telling me? You should have talked to me first. Doing it behind my back… how can I not overthink it?”
“Felicity…” Panicked and flustered, Silas tried to soothe her. “Please don’t cry. It really isn’t what you think. How could I ever doubt that Leo is my son?”
Right in front of Jasmine, without a single shred of shame, he pulled Felicity tightly into his arms.
Her father was still lying in that freezing coffin, and yet Silas had the nerve to act like this.
Jasmine looked around frantically, but there was nothing she could use as a weapon. Finally, her eyes landed on a ceramic vase filled with fake flowers sitting on a nearby table. She lunged for it, but just as her fingers brushed the ceramic, someone caught her arm.
Caleb stood there, dressed in a sharp black suit. “Let me handle this,” he murmured, his face a mask of solemn resolve.
Before the words had even fully left his mouth, Caleb delivered a swift, powerful sidekick straight to Silas’s back. The force of the blow sent both Silas and Felicity crashing to the floor.
Silas scrambled back to his feet and, seeing it was Caleb, lunged forward to strike. Both men knew how to fight, but Silas was clearly out of practice. His endurance quickly failed him, and it wasn’t long before Caleb completely overwhelmed him.
Seeing Silas lose ground, Felicity tried to intervene, but Sierra immediately pinned her to the floor. A flurry of sharp slaps rained down on Felicity, leaving her wailing in pain.
Hearing Felicity’s tearful cries tore Silas apart. Caught between trying to rescue her and defending himself against Caleb, his focus slipped. Caleb seized the opening and landed a brutal punch straight to Silas’s face, nearly shattering his nose.
Jasmine watched the chaotic brawl with completely hollow eyes, her heart utterly dead. She walked back over to the coffin, one hand tracing the icy glass. Then, she raised her other hand and brought it down
hard across her own face.
You idiot, Jasmine. You complete idiot.
